Excellent visit. Rainy day. Had the place to ourselves almost. Stayed till close. Great parking. Good snacks. The size and amount of animals was outstanding!

Zoos are never fun. Its always a pretty sad experience. But in terms of zoos, the houston zoo does do a good job of making u feel like the animals are well taken care of. The only major downside is how quickly all F&b shut their doors as we neared the end of the day. So I would recommend you bring snacks and water especially if you have small children, as you dont always have easy access to either. But staff was great, friendly and helpful. Its clean and signage was pretty clear. Overall a good experience introducing the children to some of the world's most beautiful creatures.

It's a very nice, well taken care of zoo. My only gripe is, time slots are offered to visit the zoo, so if you happen to want to go at a more popular time for whatever reason and you get stuck with a late time slot you don't get to properly experience the whole zoo.

Houston Zoo is one of our favorite places to visit as a family. The zoo is clean, well organized, and has a wonderful variety of animals. There is always something interesting to see, and every visit feels like a new adventure. My children especially enjoy seeing the giraffes, elephants, and big cats. The exhibits are beautiful, and the animals appear well cared for. The staff and volunteers are friendly and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. The zoo is both fun and educational, and it’s a great place to spend the day with family. We always leave with wonderful memories and look forward to coming back. Highly recommended for both children and adults! We didn’t go at the weekend ,weekday is better
