The Houston zoo is so pretty! All of the animals seem very well taken care of. Lots of shade and plenty of benches and spots to rest. Definitely a zoo to return! Prices are high for pretty much everything though. Restrooms are clean!

Conflicted Houston Zoo technically is the second most visited zoo in the country, just behind San Diego Zoo. The zoo has a diverse collection of animals and habitats, from insects to elephants, with almost everything in between.I'm always conflicted with the idea of zoos; it can be a public good at the price of the lives of animals. None of the animals, maybe except for the indoor elephants, looked remotely happy. In the wild, some of the apex predators have much bigger territories than the entire zoo occupation. Some of the animals zones reeks of urine and defication as expected.

This is a firm 5 star zoo!!! The park is absolutely beautiful, the animal enclosures are large, and the animals are very well cared for. We're from Florida and have been to Animal Kingdom a few times. The Houston Zoo is better. You can meet the keepers and watch the animals be fed at scheduled times. The food, sea lion show, and even the bathrooms are 1st class.

Went to zoo lights. Had a great time with the family. It is pricey but they do offer discounts for first responders and teachers. We had a lot of fun!

My kids thought the Houston Zoo was the best they’d ever been to, and I’d agree it is in my top three. So much to see, clean, well organized and you can tell they care for their animals well. Go. See the zoo! Have fun.

My visit to the zoo was pleasant. I really enjoyed the Jurassic Giants Exhibit. I would like to see more directions arrows, as i got lost twice in long circles.
