Parking was a nightmare and took us 40 minutes to park and walk but the zoo experience was amazing. Definitely busier because of the holidays. You have to buy your tickets online in advance and if you plan on going in the afternoon, make sure to buy before 3. They close at 4 and you can't buy tickets or enter after 3 pm.

Recommend going early to find parking. And you can only buy tickets online so might as well do in advance

Really enjoyed the zoo, so much nicer than I expected, but we went in totally blind.

Absolutely awful and completely not worth it. Instead of spending most of your time watching animals, the main reason someone would go to the zoo, be prepared to spend 45 minutes finding parking then paying for parking, walking a mile without sidewalks through muddy water just to get in. Then after you spend 45 min in line to use the restroom with your children who all have minuscule bladder control you finally get to see a couple animals of you can get around all the massive construction constantly being worked on with the zoo itself. I know this review is completely useless because let’s be honest one persons voice really doesn’t make a difference, but if someone with influence does actually read this, please spend less money on “event centers” (stupid) and start working on parking issues, sidewalks, opening the second back entrance, and restrooms that fit more than one person. This zoo was a million times better 16 years ago. Absolutely awful

Zoo Lights is a must for everyone to try! Beautiful light installations everywhere and get ready to walk. $35/pp and we were there for close 2 hours. The zoo puts up all the animals. We were able to see the giraffes. You can bring in your own snacks and water bottle. A fun activity for friends, family or date night. There’s food available for purchase inside the zoo. Only pain is parking. It’s free but so many ppl we park pretty far from the entrance.
