I’m a bit conflicted: On one hand, the zoo is nicely decorated, and the newer animal enclosures are fairly spacious. I also appreciated the educational approach at the Galapagos Water World, which provides a lot of information about plastic waste in the ocean. However, some of the cages are definitely not animal-friendly. For example, the leopard’s enclosure is so small that it only has room to pace back and forth in a 5-meter stretch! I really hope they improve the animals' living spaces, because ultimately, that’s what we all want to see: happy, healthy animals.

It's a huge zoo with lots of rescued animals. We had several employees aproach us and tell us information about the animals we were watching. They also have worlds oldest elephant. He's very protective of the young elephants.
