Nice clean Zoo. Some of the exhibits were closed but it still a good experience. My favorite is the Komodo Dragon. Couldn’t get a good look at him but he was the largest I’ve seen in person. Bigger than the one in Myrtle Beach and the couple Disney has.

I love this zoo. It is beautiful and I have been visiting for years, whenever I am in town. We visited on Monday. There were a lot of closed exhibits. There were also a lot of animals at the vets. I understand that these things are necessary and Monday must be a good day to do this. I would recommend a discounted price if you want to visit on Monday.

(3.26.25)Went for my autistic son’s 4th birthday and he had a blast. But to the woman at the end of Jurassic Giants who said it looked like I was dragging my son out of there, I wasn’t. He was actually trying to elope and I was holding him back. April is Autism Awareness month, maybe some more training for employees.

We love the zoo and how interactive it is. This is the 2nd year we’ve had our membership and it’s totally worth it. Just bring your own lunch because $60 for a frozen cheese pizza is probably the most outrageously offensive kind of price gouging I’ve ever seen.

I've been going to the houston Zoo since I was a little kid, and my parents had a membership. We've moved away, and I've grown up, but we still manage to drive a couple hours every other year to go to the houston zoo. They're always adding new exhibits so it stays interesting. All their animals are well taken care of with large inclusures. They provide learning opportunities in the form of informational plaques and speeches, and they give local school group tours. They are quick to let you in even during the weekend, there's a ton of shade and benches to rest, there's plenty to eat(i usually avoid there food in favor of amazing houston food). They have a little kid playing area for the young kids and interesting factoids near the animal enclosures. P.S. There's a bunch of animal statues hidden all over the zoo its kinda like a scavenger hunt.
