Beautiful zoo. It's just super expensive for a family of 4. And parking is crazy! People were actually fighting over spots. Went for Zoo Lights.

I went for Zoo Lights. Plenty of lights, but there is only so much you can do with lights. Just not my cup of tea.

Loved all the exhibits, and the zoo workers /staff were nice and helpful. Just wish it wasn't all the memberships and stroller rentals weren't online and technology based. By having to make an account to buy everything it does make it easier on the zoo though. Love the winter lights display and the boo at the zoo.

The first Tuesday every month free admission is pathetic concept. After 7 months of attempts we finally decided as a family to take advantage of this offer. We got our hopes up only to find out at 9:30 AM that you have to "reserve" in advance and there were no more spots left. I guess I need to go and be like every other asshole and just empirically reserve spots for every Tuesday just in case my children decide to go even if we end up not going. Seriously, who came up with this cap. Might as well get rid of the whole offer instead of getting our hopes up. Houstonians who've been here for decades greedily reserve spots just to casually see the exhibit for the 100th time while my family who is in town for few days can't.

This is the best zoo we have visited so far. My family loved it. The animals look very well taken care of. They were active, easy to see, and everything was clean.

Beautiful facility, family-friendly, lots of space for kids to run around and enjoy being outside. I would suggest starting your visit at the rear of the zoo and save the Galapagos exhibit for last in order to avoid early morning crowds. Looking forward to coming back soon!
