I had such a wonderful time at the Houston Zoo! Even though it was a busy day, it never felt overcrowded, which made the experience so much more enjoyable. The layout of the zoo is very thoughtfully planned, allowing everyone space to explore and enjoy the exhibits without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. The variety of animals was absolutely amazing! Every exhibit was clean, engaging, and informative. One of the biggest highlights of my visit was feeding the giraffes — such a fun and unique experience! It was incredible to be that close to them, and the staff made it easy and safe. But hands down, my favorite part was visiting the elephants. Watching them interact was fascinating, and I was lucky enough to see their adorable 5-month-old baby elephant, Kirby! It was such a sweet moment, and you can tell the zoo truly cares about the well-being of their animals. Overall, I highly recommend the Houston Zoo to anyone looking for a fun, educational, and well-organized outing. It’s perfect for all ages, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

This zoo was the most pathetic and sad place I’ve seen both in the US and Europe. The problems start at the very beginning with tickets because you can’t just show up, buy your tickets and go. You have to schedule your visit and buy your tickets online! Then the free parking lot is ridiculously small and if you don’t wanna sit in line waiting for someone to leave you will have to park somewhere nearby. The whole layout and the map are very confusing and you’ll find yourself circling around trying to find whatever animals you want to see. And finally the enclosures… Those are the smallest I’ve ever seen before! The group of 5 giraffes were packed into a tight area smaller than a typical suburban front yard. Those poor elephants… Why the heck would they have that many if they can’t provide them decent environment? Some of the felines were packed into boxes as big as a fish tank! Didn’t enjoy even a minute of being there! Usually we go back to zoos if we have a chance, not to this one. Ever! Nashville Zoo is way better!

Great zoo! Apart from multiple groups of children on a field trip, it wasn’t too crowded.

Picked a perfect day to go to the zoo. So many new changes can’t wait till it’s all done. Even enjoyed the train ride today. Parking was a nightmare. My time slot I selected was 10am, maybe I will do earlier next time.
