Actually, it was great. The reflection pond is being renovated, some construction but very well shaded in most areas which makes it great for Texas weather!

Was very disappointed being my first time ever going to any ZOO. It was just sad to see. Seemed as if the animals were drugged up they appeared very uninterested and some animals wasn't even there to be seen. Would have been better to see some animals actually interacting with other animals. I could have watched animal planet at home for cheaper.

Super fun! All the animals were up. Restrooms and snacks available in multiple areas. Lots of rest spots.

We love visiting the zoo. I have a family pass and I’ve started coming here to just walk around by myself and get some steps in. Very beautiful zoo.

It's always fun going to the zoo and seeing your child light up over the different animals. It's mainly outside and this is Houston Texas so prepare yourself for the heat. There is food and drinks but it's a bit pricey. (Like $6.00 for a bottled water) Admission prices have changed a bit too. (2adults & 1 child= $133) And I hate complaining but have 1 last one... We found the direction signs for each exhibit were a bit confusing. But if you don't mind spending a little $ for expensive entry fee, high dollar food, and getting lost while sweating out all the water in your body then you've got to experience it at least once.

I love going to the Houston Zoo! It’s a great place for families, the only downside is parking is a nightmare. We always see animals out and about which is awesome for my son! There is a lot under construction, but that didn’t hurt our last visit on Mother’s Day! Get the membership, it’s worth it!!!
