It's very well taken care of. It's pretty huge. The vendors have pretty expensive prices. Parking is a nightmare.

No parking. Take a Uber or have someone drop you off or arrive 2 hours before they open. Lost my money, there are no ticket refunds. Feels like a ripoff.

always a great place to go to got there at 8 right before they opened and there was already a whole line. but it did go by fast, you do have to buy the tickets online now though.

We had a great time going during the week to me is less hectic then the weekend yes during the week your dealing with various schools at the zoo but the kids are having fun so much to see we always enjoyed the visit

The Houston Zoo is too expensive, even more than the Bronx Zoo in New York. I think the price is excessive.

The zoo is great, associates are very friendly/helpful definitely lots to see and do, my daughter and friends were there for 5 hours but parking is an absolute nightmare. That alone would make me weary to go back. No tickets are sold on site so ensure you buy your tickets online, the wait time I indicated was how long it took to find parking not to actually enter the zoo. Like any other zoo everything sold is pricey but they do allow coolers if you’d like to pack a lunch or some drinks.

We had a great experience with our recent visit. We are members and go to the Zoo 3 or 4 times a year. The park is very clean. You can see the janitorial staff all though the park cleaning as the move about. The staff are friendly and extremely knowledgeable. There are a few perks we enjoy with the membership, including discounts through the park. The only issue we have a problem with is actually getting in the park is the members only entrance. There really isn't one. The last 3 times we have gone the staff has told us just to use any entrance and all the lines are long. Although this is my only issue the membership is worth the price.
