It gets very hot if you go in early June like we did. There are many trees and benches to sit on, so be prepared with a hat, cap, or umbrella because it will be very useful, and bring plenty of water. They allow you to bring in the tow carts so you can bring your cooler with cold drinks. (Original) Está muy bonito y grande, nos sorprendió mucho, tienen muy buenas exhibiciones y está limpio, hay baños por todos lados y la verdad vale la pena llevar a los niños, hace mucho calor si vas a principios de junio como nosotros, hay muchos árboles y bancas para sentarse, vayan preparados con sombrero, gorra o un paraguas porque les servirá mucho, y lleven mucha agua, dejan entrar con los carritos de jalas para que lleves tu hielera con aguas frías.

Excellent visit. Rainy day. Had the place to ourselves almost. Stayed till close. Great parking. Good snacks. The size and amount of animals was outstanding!

Zoos are never fun. Its always a pretty sad experience. But in terms of zoos, the houston zoo does do a good job of making u feel like the animals are well taken care of. The only major downside is how quickly all F&b shut their doors as we neared the end of the day. So I would recommend you bring snacks and water especially if you have small children, as you dont always have easy access to either. But staff was great, friendly and helpful. Its clean and signage was pretty clear. Overall a good experience introducing the children to some of the world's most beautiful creatures.
