It was sooooo cool! The rinos were awesome and the gorillas were funny! The lions were cuddling which was super cute. The food was pretty ok. And the view was good!

A wonderful, well-kept facility with plenty of pit stops in between. Parking is wild. Definitely plan your visit time factoring extra time to park. If you are a zoo member at your local zoo, go to their site and find your location listed as a participating member. You will get up to a 50% discount on your entry. Ask member services or call beforehand to navigate it. There are also other attractions nearby but I didn't have time to visit. A bonus is that you can find iced coffee on site!

Extra busy! Crowded. Staff not always available for feedings of the animals. The animals were active and looked well maintained. The Galapagos area was really cool. The line was long but worth it. Bought tickets online and arrived early to avoid a long entrance line.

I come multiple times a year and we came a few days ago and did not realize it was spring break. We spent a solid hour and 15 minutes looking for a parking spot just circling around. It was absolutely ridiculous. Once we got into the zoo, everything was smooth and honestly, it was very crowded. The lines were extremely long everywhere. I will come back when everyone is back at school.

The Houston Zoo is great and it’s good to see how they continue to update throughout the years. It’s always clean despite the crowds and well maintained. The only issue is the traffic when trying to get into the parking lot and trying to park in general. I know this isn’t their fault but be aware that it can get bad! The attendance is also getting worse as years go by with an insane amount of visitors causing huge crowds regardless of the day. I like how they implement different times when buying tickets to try and avoid an influx of people at a certain time when entering. Tickets are only sold online so be aware of that.

It was such a great day to visit the zoo, the staff is super friendly and even mentioned to see a couple of animals before it got too late. Everything was set up really nice and it was really cool to see all the animals.
