Great zoo! I love that you can bring in your own food and drinks. Animal enclosures seemed nice and well taken care of. We saw the new baby jaguar!

Upgrades to the park are awesome! Can't wait for the cafe to open. Parking is still a nightmare. Animals were out!

The zoo itself is nice but the prices are ridiculously high. I checked prices prior to going & was told the prices change daily & that it depends on the day & time of day. I was told if you go in the morning the price is higher because you have the opportunity to stay longer. What if I only want to stay for a couple of hours in the morning because of my available free time. Why should I pay more than a person staying the same amount of time in the evening. On top of that, how do you justify paying close to $40 just to walk around. They also should have some kind of golf cart drivers to carry people around that can't handle prolonged walking. I'd much rather pay extra money for that. If a person on SNAP benefits can visit the zoo for around $10.00, it can't really be worth charging spme people $40.00 for the same thing. I don't mean to take anything away from SNAP recipients because I truly understand how this discount helps your families. I only want to show how the zoo is charging way too much.

For the groundskeeping and cleanliness I would give 5 stars. The entry to the parking area was a nightmare, parking wasn't bad..but we did arrive 15 minutes before and purchased tickets for the earliest possible time(9am). Waited in line for about 15 minutes and immediately we were overcome by just how many people were there. It's just TOO crowded. I understand the population, I understand the heartbeat of the City but come on! The animals seemed sad, the "Cats" seemed stressed, many animals were "Under veterinarian observation" not to mention the helicopter every 20 minutes or so.. It was just too much. We ended up leaving by 11:45 or so.. Not worth the money or the aggravation. With modern software and having to purchase tickets online you would think they would have figured out how to "Stagger" guests so we are comfortable as well as the animals, I guess profit margins are the only thing considered. Speaking of which, gift shop was extremely overpriced and flat out junky. Such a shame because it is a very scenic, pretty place.

Beautiful and has a ton of cool things to see. Get there before it opens at 9am if you are going during spring break or other school breaks. It gets packed and it’s difficult to find parking after 9am.
