This is a great zoo. Plenty of animals, with entertaining keeper chats. It seems a little pricey to me at $24 per senior, but I am used to the free St Louis zoo. But it was very enjoyable and I highly recommend it if you are in the area. There is free parking, which is a nice plus. The food we had was excellent. We had a hamburger and a chicken sandwich which both came with seasoned fries.

If an area is closed off bc of construction there should be no access to it, there is a portion close to the rhino exhibit that a staff member, from the food stand, had to yell for people to stay away from because there was no barrier or cone.. also the toilets need to be serviced because some of them flush sooo vigorously that it wets the person standing there. A woman came out of the stall and her clothes were wet with toilet water. Restrooms by the exit..

I would give a zero if I could. There is no way to buy a ticket at the zoo itself. Since the checkout on a phone doesn't work, you're screwed. They also can't sell you a membership AT THE ZOO. And that checkout doesn't work on a phone either. Great job making the zoo inaccessible. It isn't too much to ask that tickets be available onsite and memberships be available onsite.

We absolutely loved it. The animals are so clean, active, and well taken care of. We were there for 4 hours and didn't see everything.

I love this zoo, and as a Flock member I visit often. The volunteers and staff are knowledgeable and friendly, the animals are definitely loved here. Unfortunately there is one thing that bothers me every time I visit. There is a sign in the Chimp exhibit that describes the female genitalia in and out of ovulation. The sign is green and at the top says “EWW WHAT’S THAT” in reference to the pink genitalia of the chimps. I find this incredibly childish and not educational. Female genitalia has been censored forever and having the animals genitals described as “EWW” is immature, and disturbing. I hope someone with the zoo sees this and perhaps they can steer themselves back onto a scientific and educational path regarding the anatomy of their animals.
