I've been going to the Houston zoo since I was a small child, and I still get the same feeling now as I did back then. It's one of my favorite places to visit, and I look forward to sharing it with my own children one day.

Very nice zoo! It is worth visiting! During weekdays it not that full so it was possible to have “better” view of the animals.

Most animals were asleep or hiding trying to stay cool. The bear was pacing back and forth and seemed very stressed. It looked like most of the place was shut down. I have seen nicer zoos with many areas with water for the animals to stay cool. The one place open to get food was good and everyone was very nice.

Member services is incredibly poor. Was unable to renew my membership via phone. App doesn’t support Apple renewal. Unable to buy tickets at the gate. Team incredibly unhelpful.

The zoo is pretty big. We went around every exhibition in about five hours. The animals looked well taken care of. The landscape was very nice, creating an inmersive experience. They also have a recreational area for kids to play close to the domestic animals area. I reccomend to buy the tickets in advance. The parking is free, but it gets full quick after 9 am. We got there an hour early and found parking right in front. There are green areas to walk around before entering.
