First time visiting. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and well organized. Only spent a few hours but could have stayed the full day. We will definitely do a return visit.

It was a nice experience, but most of the exhibits were closed . And they were doing construction in the middle of the park . Bring water and sunscreen and maybe a fan for your babies. It gets really hot

Zoo is worth the visit. There is plenty of walking and would need one day to enjoy. Zoo is big and well maintained. Was bit crowded during holiday season time.

The Zoo is a great place to take your family and enjoy a day of wholesome activities until your child picks up a meth pipe off of the ground while waiting to board the train outside the Japanese gardens. Real classy Houston. There should probably be more security and better grounds keeping in the area.

Love the Houston Zoo! If you live near Houston and have kiddos it’s worth the membership. Our favorite stop is the Galapagos. Our second favorite are the elephants. So much to see! Don’t forget your snack and drinks. Worth the visit! Weekends are packed and you can’t really enjoy it. Weekday is slow and enjoyable. You can keep an eye out better having little ones.
