Nice to be out on the water
The boat was a comfortable size for the amount of travelers- plenty of room for everyone to either have a seat, stand at the rails, be inside or outside. We chose to stay outside the entire time, even though it was a bit windy and chilly. The Staff was very friendly, especially the concessions crew! As far as seeing whales, it wasn’t a great day. We DID see some whales, but it was really just their backs- no real breaching or excitement. The tour operator cannot control this, obviously, so it is what it is. The crew did take us out to see some sea lions sunning, and we got to see a sea lion jump up from the water to the fixture they were laying on, so that was fun;)

Wildlife galore!
Beautiful day for this bucket list experience. We saw 2 humpback whales, sea lions, harbor seals, and a couple of porpoises. I’m so glad we did it!

We had a fun wildlife adventure with San Juan Clipper. The boat was clean and comfortable. The assigned seating was appreciated. The staff was friendly and the naturalist for our trip was full of information about the local wildlife. The only negative I can share wasn’t even something they could control. The whales weren’t cooperating that day, lol. We only got to see one, Orion, but he did give us some good photo ops once he showed up.

The ticket office was easy to find. On your ticket you’re given an assigned seat and it is enforced, so if you paid for premium you will get 1 of 3 seats next to a window, but maybe not directly. I didn’t think paying extra for premium was worth it- you can’t see very well out the windows. The tour ended up being a full day, we got back around 4:45. I appreciate that for the price you pay they absolutely make sure you will see whales! So we went out almost to Canada to catch the orcas, and we saw 2 pods. Because of how far we had to travel we only saw them for about 15 minutes. The naturalist on board is very informative and detailed in her knowledge. You’re allowed to step outside to view the whales, so you don’t have to squint through the windows. There’s motion sickness medicine available on board. There’s also drinks and food available for purchase on board. The boat seats were comfortable for the long trip. And I’m happy we got to see whales as promised.

Great
Saw a pod of orcas, a humpback and many sea lions. The crew was wonderful and great with our kids; they especially thought the portion of whale baleen was cool to see.

We booked the tickets for us and our 2 kids. There was no option to select seats. We learned when we arrived they had slit our party of 4 into two groups on opposite sides of the boat. The onboard staff was not all helpful in getting us seated with our 2 kids. Hi highly recommend you do NOT do business with this place. I am certainly spreading that word among my many traveling friends!
