The guide had a difficult tone of voice to listen and while the details were interesting they were a bit boring. No interesting stories were presented. The orca's we saw were nice. But it was very far. even with our binoculars it was not easy. The other boat was able to get much closer than we did. Also it was an expensive trip.

No whales or really much of any wildlife. Very disappointing to have paid so much money and then not be given a refund. The boat is comfortable and the he food service was decent.

I did a whale watching tour on the San Juan Clipper, and it was truly magical. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable and I learned so much in addition to seeing two different orca pods! Cannot recommend them enough.

Oh my stars!! Took my 1st trip on the clipper Victoria to Seattle today! We upgraded to the comfort class! Well what a trip, Hank was in charged of that area. He was amazing wonderful personality !! Our trip to Seattle was planned around the idea that we weren’t sure what else we’d be able to fit in, but that we MUST go on a whale watching tour. The day of, we arrived to the pier very excited only to find it suspiciously empty, and to be told that the outing was cancelled entirely for the day. No one had communicated a single word to us. No effort was made to reschedule or make it right in any way, and we were scheduled to fly out the next day so there was no opportunity for that had there been a modicum of any sort of concern anyway. Later, we spoke to several different people who work in and around the harbor, and everyone’s general consensus was that reasonably, it is illogical to leave from Seattle itself for this type of excursion—and that’s why no one else does. The whales are much further north. So, ultimately, I feel like this would’ve most likely been an anticlimactic scam anyway, but it was a huge letdown to have flown across the country to do this one specific thing and we couldn’t even get a text or an email to let us know it was off before we wasted our time and money getting to the pier. If you want to do this type of excursion, just save yourself the potential disappointment and plan for the extra logistics you’ll need to figure out to go with one of the legitimate options out of Edmonds or Anacortes.

My girlfriend booked a Clipper hotel package and took me to see my first major league baseball game. This ferry is downtown to downtown and is a great way to travel for a weekend trip in either direction. Will definitely use them again to see more sporting events and taking the wonderful food and scenery of downtown Seattle.
