We had a private tour with Mahmoud for the Pyramids in Cairo and we enjoyed it really much! The explanation was clear and he was very friendly, taking a lot of pictures of us :) we would for sure recommend it!

Initially only booked an airport transfer from Cairo with them through Viator (after seeing reviews online) but they did such a good job for the transfer in terms of communication and ease (despite the fact that our flight was 2 hours late and landed well after midnight) that we ended up booking all of our excursions whilst in Cairo through them (Giza pyramids, felucca ride on the Nile, Memphis/ Dahshur/ Saqqara half day - all booked separately). Some of them we even requested on the day and they somehow managed to accommodate! The guides were all spoke good English and were knowledgeable, the company themselves are very responsive on WhatsApp so made it easy to coordinate (should note also that all the pickups were perfectly on time). Overall would recommend for all your Cairo transport and excursion needs!

We booked through Viator and they match us for day 1 (Cairo city tour) and we booked direct with Emo for day 2 (Alexandria). We had different guides and drivers for each day. We were happy with the driver on day 1, but our guide only memorized the English words for each area or activity. Even simple questions couldn't be answered. He also got hit by a truck while crossing the road with us (he said he was fine). Day 2 our driver picked us in Cairo for the ride to Alexandria (which was where we would meet our guide). It is a two to three hour one way drive but didn't know speed was the time saver (top speed driving was 179km/hr and 143 while text and driving). The issue was he actually fell asleep while driving (I watched him nod off and his head tipped back), and refused to stop after I jolted him awake. We also hit a speed bump and the entire car lifted off the road)He picked up the guide who had a bit better English (slightly), but he thought the driver falling asleep was no issue. His English was better but certainly not conversational. **we booked English guide tours each day. I hope this is enough to tell you to not go with Emo

We booked multiple tours/ events on-line with EMO Tours in Cairo. We had issues with every pickup, where drivers went to the wrong pickup location and/or were significantly late. At the heart of these issues was EMO not providing either client or driver with the other’s contact information. We later learned that EMO forbid sharing contact information in fear that a client could setup future tours directly with a guide/ driver without EMO getting the revenue. Instead, we had to communicate with the EMO front office acting as the “middleman.” This “relayed” communication became even more fractured outside of regular business hours. The above resulted in delays and miscommunication, along with our anxiety and escalating frustration. For one evening event; we would’ve been at least ½ hour late for a one-hour Sound & Light show. With an absent driver, we cancelled and asked for (but never received) a refund. I documented and registered a dispute with my credit card company using a WhatsApp log as evidence of the smattered communication we had with the front office (either the driver was lying to the front office, or the front office was giving us affirmations while being ignorant of the situation).

In late January 2025, we did a full-day road trip to Alexandria. Our driver “Hussein” spent 2/3 of the time on the freeway (including on the way back to Cairo) using one hand on his cell phone to dial/ answer/ speak with various people; while speeding up to 30 kilometers over the speed limit (both illegal). For us, his most repetitive and grueling conversations were consoling a woman who had screaming children in the background. Our driver knew so little English that no matter what I said or how I motioned he didn’t get it that my wife was cold and wanted him to roll up his windows and turn on the heater. His astounding response to us was “Cafe”? We met our guide in Alexandria (knowledgeable, but only spoke at each point-of-interest). She was dismayed when our driver’s car was at one of our stops; but he wasn’t. He showed up 15 minutes later with two other men???

We booked the car + driver package to visit the sites in East and West Bank of Luxor. Abd Rabbo has been amazing. He was on time with the morning pick up. He gave us ample of time to visit all the places. Although we didn’t have a tour guide, he pointed out different places and gave us some info on the way, which we truly appreciated. He accommodated to our requests, started the tour on the West side, and skipped shops that we weren’t very interested. After visiting all the sites as agreed, he brought us to a restaurant with great views for late lunch before dropping us off at the hotel. The entire tour lasted for 8 hours. Abd Rabbo, thank you for driving and showing us around Luxor for the whole day!

Emo Tours provided amazing service during our recent week-long university trip to Egypt (Cal Lutheran Univ, Ancient Egyptian Philosophy, 20 undergrad students). Menna, our tour guide for the week, was particularly amazing! She was extremely friendly, knowledgable, and energetic which helped keep our energy up for the busy week of touring! We visited sites around Cairo, museums in Cairo & Giza, the great pyramids of Giza, and Saqqara/Memphis/Dahshur. If you are planning a trip to Egypt Emo Tours is a great option - especially with Menna as your guide!!

We booked the tour through GYG and we were so lucky they partnered with Emo Tours and gave us the tour guide Ms. Salwa. She is so knowledgable with Ancient history, not only our phone memory of nice pictures are full but also our mind hahaha. She made sure we get the best of Karnak Temple (amazingly beautiful) by getting there first early in the morning the moment we went out from the airport at 7:30am.She protected us like mother from attempted hagglers. We really had the best of Luxor and we can relate all she said when we visited the museums a day after. The artifacts are mostly from Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings (esp. the golden mask of Tutankhamen), Mortuary of Hatshepsut, Luxor Temple. Thank you so much Ms. Salwa, you made our 1 day tour in Luxor so memorable. Kudos also for the well-organized airport transfers Emo Tours 👏🏼

We have travelled to Luxor last March 15, 2025. Our tour guide Ms. Salwa was so accomodating and have an indept knowledge about the history of Egypt. She suggested what to visit first in order for us to enjoy the place with less tourist. We visited the Karnak Temple where it was less crowded during the early morning then we go to the Valley of the Kings where we see the burial chambers of the kings who rule Egypt in the ancient times. We also see the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut and the Luxor Temple. The remains of the old architectural buildings/temples that stood the test of times are truly amazing. How they are preserved till to this days makes us wonders how the ancient civilization manage to do it and people are enjoying it like us.

I highly recommend EMO Tourist's Half-day private tour to Dahshur Pyramids,Memphis &Saqqara. The Saqqara and Dahshur pyramid complexes are much less crowded and not as commercialized as the Giza Pyramids. Plus, you’ll have enough time to enter the pyramids and explore them inside. EMO Tourist is a very professional travel company with 24/7 customer service, providing prompt responses to any inquiries. My driver, Yasser, arrived punctually at 8 AM to pick me up from the hotel. The company’s vehicle was very clean, and Yasser was friendly, well-dressed, and drove safely. He clearly informed me about the ticket prices and gave useful tips on the must-see attractions. The itinerary was flexible, allowing me to customize the order of visits according to my preferences. I also discussed the duration of each stop with Yasser. Since I was completely immersed in the grandeur of the pyramids, ended up going a bit over schedule, and there was also some traffic. However, Yasser still ensured I reached the Giza Pyramids safely, making it a truly wonderful and unforgettable day! The pricing of tour is very reasonable, and it provides a safe and reassuring experience, especially for solo female travelers.I highly recommend EMO Tourist's tour to everyone!

Excellent! Our tour guide Mahmoud Anwar and his driver Ahmed we amazing. What a great day! They arrived early at our hotel and we spent the day visiting the sites and Mahmoud was simply fantastic, very knowledgeable, very polite, he spoke perfect English, had a great sense of humor and he really made our day very special. Our driver Ahmed was very safe and we felt very comfortable. Highly recommend!!!!!!

We really enjoyed our tour of the east and west banks of Luxor with Emo Tours! Ayad was a phenomenal tour guide for the day, he wears extremely knowledgeable about each of the places we visited and really made us comfortable for the day. He gave us plenty of in depth information about the valley of the kings, queen Hatshepsut’s temple, the Colossi of Memnon, Luxor temple and Karnak temple. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a local restaurant with lots of fantastic food and we picked up some great gifts as well. We are really grateful to Ayad for such a wonderful trip, it was a great day for my birthday! Hasan was a great driver as well and we appreciated his good driving. He was perfectly on time to pick us up too.

A full day tour (defined by EMO as 10 to 1 2 hours) of the West Bank Luxor which was to include 6 attractions. Only 3 were visited and the tour ended at lunch time. Both the Taxi and EMO management refused to continue the tour for the rest of the day. EMO refuse to respond to emails thereafter.
