If you want to go on some of the more advanced rides for adults or older kids, please be aware of the fact that there are long waiting times, for us 1 hour or more for each ride. To me it's obvious that the process of sending riders down the slides is deliberately slow so visitors will buy express passes (we did because we are visiting from another part of the world and didn't want to ruin a day of our vacation). Many of the rides are partly closed, working at only half capacity or less. When we went to guest services they blamed it on the guests, suggesting they were slow to get of their rides and claimed that our waiting times were nothing compared to Disney World, which is a strange comparison. We were told no other guests are complaining but reading the reviews it's obvious this is a real issue. They will answer this review with a comment that they are working hard to make the rides function as smoothly as possibly, but seeing it in action I can guarantee that it is not the case. If you have younger kids I think you might like it just fine but otherwise just avoid it, at least in peak season.

We love coming to the Gold Coast each year for our family holiday however our day out at White water world was extremely disappointing. The queues are truly ridiculous- taking well over an hour to get on most rides. Most frustrating was the fact that many of the rides weren’t running at all. We didn’t pay a ridiculous amount of money to go to this place to find several of the rides non operable and the queues for a 40 second ride requiring an hour’s wait. Appalling! We left after 4 hours, having been on only 2 slides. I would suggest you spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere. Perhaps find a business that cares about its customers experience. On a final note the whole express pass business that allows some customers to skip the queue is completely unethical, how galling to pay hard earned dollars to get into this place only to have to wait even longer to get on a ride because the business chooses to prioritise profit over their ‘normal’ customers. What a joke.

The slides were great but the queues were terrible. Far too long waiting in line: 30 - 40 minutes for most slides meant we didn't get to go on most slides more than once. It put a dampner on the day. Kids were bored waiting in line - perhaps move people through the lines more efficiently to get things moving.

It’s like a gladiator-type fight (for the park owner’s benefit) on all the slides’ stairs. The RICH (those who pay for ‘slide express’ $140 + PLUS $$$) literally run past and LAP the customers who pay the normal price of $140 and who consequently have to wait for 1.5 hours (also literally), shivering, or in the sun, waiting for their single turn. YUCK. You should be embarrassed of this cash-grab system. It’s only a matter of time before a fight breaks out in the wait lines, on the stairs, given what we observed last Friday. Your poor management of this makes your customers hate each other.

I love this place! It is right next door from Dreamworld Gold Coast. Instead of driving another hour to go from one theme park to another you just have to walk 30 seconds! And wait lines for whitewater world are amazing. I strongly suggest Whitewater world. Also if you go to the Dreamworld website you can get a pack where you can go to Dreamworld and Whitewater World in the same day! Thank you 🙏

The place is a complete let down. The wait times for slides is shocking. 1 hour plus. I didnt pay 700 dollars entry to stand in the sun on a stair case. The slides out of order you dont seem to get a discount upon entry. As for the bigger people the 120 kg weight restriction is not anywhere on the web unless you search for it. So the super 6 is no good for those people. Keep In mind you are weighed at the top of the slides. The whole joint is over priced and over rated. Will not be back ever again…

MOST OF THE FIVE STAR REVIEWS FOR THIS PLACE ARE BECAUSE OF THE KIDS AREA! If spending most of the day waiting in lines for the water slides is your thing then this place is for you! The people who can afford to buy the Express passes to bypass the lengthy wait times seemed to enjoy the place (besides the death stares everyone were giving them as the ascended the stairs to the slides) but in turn, the people who can’t afford the Express, spent up to 2 hours waiting for one go at a slide!!! The wave pool was fun but unfortunately the waves were only turned on for a short period of time with long wait times in between the waves starting up again. As a single mother of 3 kids, this place was very disappointing, this seemed to be the general consensus of almost all the people I spoke to there. On a plus side and the only reason I’m giving one star for my review, is the area for the smaller kids was enjoyable.

A lot of waiting for each ride for no reason! Many slides were closed on that day. It's ok for kids but if you are only adults I wont recomend.

DO NOT PAY TO GO HERE.. unless you like to stand in line all day watching express ride pass holders go past you multiple times backing up the queues all day long. We lines up for an hour and a half for one slide and watched the same people go up and down multiple times while we had not even gone down once. Take away the express pass and you will have more people coming back as repeat customers We will not be going back. Has such great potential but the wait times are ridiculous. Things could be moved along quicker without the long breaks in between for the next riders to hop on. Great potential but left feeling very disappointed. Management need to attend other water parks to see how they run theirs quicker

Had an amazing time at WhiteWater World. You can bring your own food and there are attractions for every age group which is perfect for a family day out. Highly recommend !
