Ester E was so much fun to walk with. We did the Sweet Tooth tour and she had the best info (and funniest jokes). We got to taste a lot of wonderful desserts with a lot more variety than what I would get at home. I learned a lot about Reykjavik's desserts, and about Iceland's very interesting nutritional history. I loved it! Thank you Ester E! I wanted to leave a second review after our tour the next day with Thormar but it was too recent! We had an amazing driving tour and I really appreciate all he showed us and talked about. Thank you for showing us your hometown and all the amazing sights of the Golden Circle, and for telling us such interesting stories. Thank you Thormar!

Disapointing tour I’m pretty disappointed with the "Reykjavik Christmas Walking Tour". Even though the guide was nice and snack was awesome. It was supposed to be a Christmas tour with explanations of the local Xmas traditions and it ended up being mainly a downtown tour with tips for cheap eat and cheap drinks. We stopped at the Flea Market, Christmas store, Yule cat, watched the gooses and had a snack with stories. Guide could not even name all the 13 Yule lads and vaguely named what they do. :( neither share how families gather and what they do. Really felt like doing a tour with a random friend in Reykjavik (!) And on top of that the meeting point in the email was not the right one. They sent a text message 10 minutes prior to meeting time, but being abroad all of the 5 participants had their phone on travel mode - i.e no access to text messages. I shared the above comment with the tour organizer via email and they never replied.

Helgi was a fantastic guide to local bars and beers. His local and historic knowledge made the whole experience incredibly interesting. He listened to us about the types of beers we liked and arranged for us to try what he thought we'd like. I highly recommend this for anyone visiting Reykjavik! Thank you Helgi you were magnificent.

We had a wonderful food tour with Ester E./Your Friend in Reykjavik! This was our first guided tour in Iceland, and Ester hit it out of the park — she was a knowledgeable and fascinating tour guide with much to share about Icelandic food, history, and culture. Cannot recommend this experience highly enough.

Entertaining overview of Reykjavik!
Bo was such a great tour guide! He had many amusing stories to tell, and commentary on Iceland and Icelandic people. I particularly enjoyed the history (Cod Wars story was hilarious, for instance), and the fun facts (more than half of Icelandic people do not deny the existence of elves). He showed us the Icelandic Coast Guard boat, which we saw later in the week removing a rope from around a whale. We appreciated his restaurant suggestions and checked out Mokka for coffee and waffles after our tour. If you want to get a good and entertaining overview of Reykjavik, this is the place to go!

Tour was great Ollie the tour guide was awesome. Took us to three pubs tried 9 different beers. One pub you got to select your from a variety and pour your own. Was a lot of fun

Ester E. was absolutely amazing. Other than the real cool knowledge, she is so friendly, hilarious, down to earth, and just an overall amazing human being. Loved her, the food, and the walk. Be open and try everything!! You won’t regret it!!

It was good, however I wish they would tell you when you book the Christmas food tour on Christmas Day the Christmas market is closed….. that’s the main reason I booked this tour.. there was also no Leaf bread or mulled wine like in the description so false advertising

Einar Valgarðsson was our tour guide for our July tour of the city. He was personable, engaging, and full of great information about the city. Learned so much that we would not have learned otherwise and, because of this, look forward to returning to Iceland again.

Great walking tour with Bjarni. It was very cold and windy and we had a 11 yr old with us but he made it enjoyable and informative. The food was lovely trying different types. Recommend

The guide was friendly and knwledgable. The tour it self was expensive for the food received, one of the places just have samples in a minuscule spin. More than 100 us per Person for this was a very low value for money as almost everything in Reykjavík
