Fun Folklore tour

We enjoyed our Folklore tour with Einar. He is a great storyteller (and singer too). We also had a fun group that wanted to hear all the gruesome stories. Takk Einar!

Highly recommend!

Lucky for us we had a beautiful sunny day for this wonderful 2 hour walking tour. Our tour guide “G” (forgot his full name) was very personable, and had great fun facts about the local history of Iceland and city of Reykjavik. Started in the old section of Reykjavik and learned some about it. Then to the harbor and then we went inside Harpa, which is an absolutely stunning building! Along the way, we passed the famous hot dog stand and our tour ended at the big church. Definitely time well spent! Highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Take a walk on the feline side!

We (family with younger teen) had a great time, walking around Reykjavík and chatting with Stefan I. about the role of cats in Icelandic history and legend. Lovely hot chocolate and traditional Icelandic pastry at the cat cafe. And we met several other cats who either live in or routinely visit stores or hotels (several of them have their own Instagram!). As we arrived the day before, it was a novel & fun introduction to Reykjavik, and Stefan was kind & knowledgeable about answering all sorts of questions we had. Thank you, Stefan!

This is a great way to spend a couple of hours in Reykjavik. I had time to kill before checking into my hotel. We were a small group and that was great - we were able to ask questions and get a good understanding of the city and country. The tour guide was great and I’d definitely recommend!

Fantastic Feline Tour not just for cat lovers

What an amazing tour! Bardi was so friendly and knowledgeable about Icelandic cats and so much more! We really enjoyed learning about the city of Reykjavik and the history of Iceland as well as the Folklore of Iceland, the Yule cat and the goddess Freya. Bardi was a fantastic tour guide and story teller, we really felt connected with the city and meeting all the local famous felines was an added bonus! The cat cafe was warm and inviting and the drinks and Icelandic pastries were delicious. It was so lovely to see so many local businesses having cats they help look after. The local tips and recommendations for where to eat were also really helpful! As a family we really really enjoyed this tour and would say it was good fun and not just for cat lovers. Thanks so much Bardi for giving us such a special day x

Our tour guide Bo was INCREDIBLE! He took us to three awesome bars that allowed us to try delicious local beers. Bo always helped us learn a ton about Icelandic culture and made one of our last days in the country extra fun!

Tasty, relaxed and full of stories – a delicious way to explore Reykjavik

We had Steffon as our guide and he made the whole experience feel relaxed, fun and genuinely interesting. You could tell he knew his stuff, not just about the food (which was delicious, varied and sometimes a bit weird but interesting!) but also about Reykjavik and Iceland’s history and culture. The pace was easygoing and overall a really enjoyable way to explore the city through its flavours and stories. Highly recommend.

I wish we had done this amazing tour when we first arrived in Reykjavik. The folklore including trolls, ghosts, elves and 13 Yule Santas was very interesting. We walked around some gorgeous places off the beaten path in Reykjavik. The Elf stone, the cathedral, graveyard was beautiful and Parliament House in Austurvollur square. Our guide was friendly, his folklore stories interesting. Thank you so much!

Bonnie est formidable. C’est un plaisir de découvrir la ville avec elle et ses trésors gourmands. Le requin fermenté est un grand moment. On a partagé une soirée super avec tous les autres participants. Bonne humeur, humour et tout était très bon et super bien organisé. Un excellent moment !

Foodies in Iceland

Our guide Steffon was an absolute delight. Extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We were introduced to a variety of Icelandic specialties from street hotdogs to lamb tartare with many interesting back stories to each dish. Easy walk and not rushed, so we were able to enjoy the company of others on the tour. Heartily recommend this experience as Steffon also touched on the history, culture, and current place of Iceland in the world.
