I was a solo traveler in late March and was looking for an activity to do in Reykjavik. I didn't have much knowledge of Icelandic food so I thought this would be a good intro. For almost $150 I'm not sure I can say it was worth it but considering everything in Iceland is expensive maybe it is on par. I did enjoy myself and the tour guide was good so my rating for that would be a 4. The rating of the food is about a 3.

Very nice guide. A local one. It was our first hour in the city so it was nice to enter the city this way. If we would have taken the tour 2-3 days later, we would have had other expectations since the food and the restaurants in Reykavik are exceptionally good. My suggestion: Do not take this tour as your tour nr. 1. Tell the guide what kind of food you eat or do not eat so he can adjust the tour. Our guy was excellent.

Zufällig war ich der einzige Teilnehmer. Der Guide war eine Wienerin, die mir zunächst die „Altstadt“ von Akureyri zeigte, wobei ich einiges über die Geschichte der Stadt und allgemein isländische Verhältnisse erfuhr. Natürlich wurde ich auch auf Sehenswürdigkeiten aufmerksam gemacht. Wir waren u.a. im Botanischen Garten und beim Kulturzentrum Hof (Tempel). Der Guide war sehr kenntnisreich und freundlich.
