Great crew, truely an adventure not mention, that the best reward was the wine tasting to round out the trip. I recommend if you're a novice at kayaking!

We had a great family day on the Verde river. Ben was our guide and provided great support making everything fun and easy. Coordination and communication were highly professional. The river was an easy paddle and well suited for beginners.

We spent a few hours on the Verde River with Verde River Adventure Trips and had a great time. The guide will send you the GPS coordinates once you have made arrangements for your visit and it's pretty easy to find using the GPS. Once there you will find a small parking lot and a porta-potty but that's about it. The guide will drive everyone up river in a school bus and give some local history along the way. Once at the river they will put you in an inflatable kayak and set you loose. There are some very mild "rapids" but it's very tame and no real danger. The river flows at a very easy pace for the most part and it's very peaceful and relaxing floating down the river. You don't really need to paddle if you don't want to. Along the way you will see some wildlife (birds and a very angry beaver on our trip) and some natural beauty along with the wind rustling through the trees. The kayaks are easy to control and everything was in good condition. The guide was funny and personable but doesn't come along on the river; instead he drives back and meets you back at the end point. We all had a great time. You don't get very wet at all (unless you want to) though a bathing suit and maybe some water shoes might make things a bit easier.
