Terrible experience, not worth the money

There was nothing Grand about this tour. Falsely advertised - this is NOT a live commentated trip. We booked a 11.30am ride and did not see a gondola until 30 minutes later. You essentially just get taxied around some random canals for 15 minutes. Extremely overrated. Very disappointing.

Don’t BOOK this excursion

Arrived at the departure location early and waited about 1 hour to take a virtual guided gondola ride (not live commentary) and certainly not the grand canal trip advertised. Started in the grand canal and moved to a quick sub standard loop and back out. Same cost for more authentic gondola ride that can be booked and taken right in Venice.

A perfect way to end your trip!

On our last day in Italy, a gondola ride on the Grand Canal in Venice was a perfect way to end our trip. Just beautiful.

Good for the money!

Really great experience visiting the islands. The location of the embarkation wasn’t totally clear, and the boat was a half hour late to arrive to pick us up. The guides themselves were amazing, but the earpiece and microphone system left a lot to be desired.

Wonderful experience

This was a wonderful way to see Murano and Burano. My husband and I were travelling with 3 teenagers who also really enjoyed the trip. The guides were lovely and very informative. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Venice.

Nous étions 25 personnes à faire la visite des passages secrets, ce qui est beaucoup trop à mon avis. La guide était tellement loin en avant que la seconde partie du groupe ne pouvait pas entendre même avec les radios car le son coupait. De plus, l’activité a débuter avec 30 minutes de retard et la guide a passé super vite …

Deceptive Advertising -

This was NOT what we thought we were purchasing. It is NOT a romantic gondola ride with your significant other. We were herded into a gondola with people we did not know; people who did not even speak English! AND, the “commentary” was by a young lady who spoke Italian most of the time - and then, as an afterthought would say - “oh, in English what I said was …” and she spoke so fast, we could not understand most of what she said! And the commentary was from the meeting point to the gondola ride (an 8- 10 minute walk). When we complained to her and showed her our “ticket itinerary” she just put a smile on her face and said the private tour was an option but not for our ticket - even though it was advertised as a “private gondola ride”! This is NOT the quality of tour we expect from Viator!

Worth every penny!

AMAZING! Loved every minute of it! Good value for money and just lovely. Long enough and informative and peaceful and eomantic even. Loved it😍
