We took the one day city tour and our guide was Dave who was excellent. It's a great way to see the city and work out the best places to go to on subsequent days. Dave had a lot of interesting and amusing stories. We had 20 on our tour which is the maximum. It sounds a lot but it all worked out fine as there are not many really busy sections. One of the tour party was volunteered as a back-marker (thanks Tim). You should certainly book. Tours start from the Fernsehturm near Alexanderplatz. My bike was quite OK. My wife was a bit uncomfortable on hers but she is quite small. You also get a discount if you have a Berlin travel card. Lunch is at a beer garden in the Tiergarten.

Tour was going pretty good, until we were taken to a terrible restaurant for ‘food’. When will tour operators get it! The absolute lack of respect for the customer that is demonstrated when the guide takes you to eat somewhere that doesn’t reflect the local cuisine or culture. This aspect really let the whole tour experience down. We were taken to a beachside restaurant that served nachos with plastic cheese! Disgusting!

I would not recommend their bikes. Attention to maintenance is poor. Unlimited Biking handled bicycle rentals for the Tour de Bronx this year (2018), which was a great option to have since they brought the bikes to the start, and we're there at the end for drop off. The setup definitely beats renting from a shop for an event like this. The bike, however, was in horrible need of a tune-up. It was a decent bicycle that otherwise rode well, but the gears constantly slipped for the entire ride. The rear derailleur slipped every two turns of the crank, and the front derailleur failed to successfully shift half the time. This sort of ride having a large mass start, it was impractical to try to turn back to the bike rental tent, and since the bike was still rideable, ended up riding 40 miles with constantly slipping gears. At the finish, when I told the guy about the bad gears, he seemed surprised, thanked me for renting with them, and put the bikes with the others without checking the gears or flagging it in any way. I highly doubt they tune all bikes before each ride, so unfortunately someone else will probably be riding the same impaired bike soon after.

I took three tours, one in Malaga and two in Barcelona. Highly recommend doing them they cover a lot more than walking and it gives you a great perspective.

Highly recommended. Not only do they teach you how to Segway, they provide a very detailed overview of the entire city -- and there's a lot to cover in Rome in just two hours. The tour is safe and affordable.
