Luigina was an absolute fountain of knowledge about the Doge Palace and history of Venice going back to the early 400s. She explained the historical significance of key paintings in the Palace in a way that no audiotape could. Tour was worth every penny. We would never have learned so much on our own. Highly recommended!!

It was not an off the beaten track experience as sold. We were taken up the grand canal which sounds lovely, but in reality we were surrounded by huge public water taxis and taken to the train station and back. The time spent in the smaller canals was too short.

Guide did great helping my mom, who uses a cane and had a hard time with balance sometimes, get on and off the gondola. The guide could have given a bit more commentary, but overall it was a great experience!
