Our guide was, I think, knowledgeable about the items she guided us to visit in both settings. However, it was extremely congested and she walked very fast and did not stop to wait for everyone in the group to catch up to her when she started talking about something. Then the folks further back would arrive to see it and she would already be off to the next stop. As a result it felt rushed, with few opportunities for questions. She told us that it was congested like that because it’s always congested on Tuesdays which might be true but if it is, I’d advise folks to advise tours on Tuesdays. The museum, especially the Uffizi, is impressive and on a better day we would have stayed to meander on our own.
