Product: Rome: Colosseum with Arena Floor, Forum & Palatine Hill Tour

We had the pleasure of taking a tour of the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill with Giuseppe Cusano. Giuseppe was a fantastic guide- very knowledgeable, friendly, personable, kind, and he truly explained the history in a way that was truly engaging and captivating. He was also extremely accommodating, making sure everyone felt comfortable (had enough water, plenty of opportunities to use the bathroom, and providing opportunities for individuals to use elevators or find shady areas for people who weren’t able to walk up the Palatine Hill). He also did a fantastic job of guiding our group and navigating us through large groups of people. We could go on and on! Our only regret is not getting a picture with Giuseppe. Highly recommend this tour and Giuseppe!!

Guia Grandi was great. We had a wonderful tour looking at Caravagio's paintings in Rome and she was a wonderful guide! I would highly recommend this tour.

Ridiculously shabby treatment

My husband and I were very excited about our upcoming May 24 th reservation for a small group tour of the limited-time Caravaggio exhibit at Palazzo Barberini in Rome. I booked it and received a confirmation voucher with confirmation number on March 30. My credit card was also charged. A full month later, on April 30, I received a new “ confirmation voucher” for an earlier date of May 21. I contacted the company to explain that we were not flying to Rome until May 22 and that we wanted to keep our originally confirmed date. I was told that my original confirmed tour “ was sold out”. Huh? The person proceeded to frame the situation as a generous offer on their part and informed me that I never had an actual “confirmation voucher”, just an auto-generated acknowledgment (see photo of voucher) Completely unacceptable and unapologetic response. We would never trust this company again.

We chose Eternity Tours because we had the same tour two years ago with a guide that was a history teatcher. This time we brought our entire family. We were very dissapointed that the guide didn't come with us into the St.Peters Basilica. I think that really should have been the case when we paid such a large amount for the tickets. The guide was good, but we felt we got more value for our money two years ago with Eternity Tours. At that time the guide went with us into the Basillica and tokd us so much about the history of the Churche. A bit dissapointed, and not value for money.

Amazing Experience with Donatella Mauceri!!

Donatella Mauceri was AMAZING!! She knew all the history and made the tour fun but knowledgeable. She is very family oriented and makes you feel like a great family friend. I would definitely recommend and do her tour again!

Tatiana was an amazing guide during our private Essential Sistine Chapel, Vatican Museums & St. Peter's Basilica tour. Her extensive and in-depth knowledge of the Chapel, museums and the Basilica made our tour so much fun and memorable. We particularly liked how she used hand-held photos of the sites as part of the tour. For example, she used pics of the Sistine Chapel to explain all of the images before we entered the Chapel. This truly made our silent experience inside the Chapel so much more awe inspiring. I highly recommend booking a tour with Tatiana. You will not be disappointed.

Our guide inside domus aurea was very kind and knowledgeable and fielded all our questions. The virtual reality experience was fabulous and allowed us to see the buildings and terrain in Nero’s time. I didn’t realize this was an active archeological site 5 days ago week with tours being conducted 2 days a week. We learned so much! Well worth our time and money.

Unfortunately, the tour...

Unfortunately, the tour guide was German so her spoken English was not very good. This made it very hard to understand her through the audio headphones and with all the other external noises. She wasn't very engaging and to be honest, made the tour very boring.

I was recently in Rome and did 3 tours via Through Eternity, and I was very grateful that I did. Each of my tours were meant to be semi-private, but I ended up being the only person who had registered for that slot so I was lucky enough to be given private tours for each of my selections. My first tour was Twilight Through the Piazzas and Fountains with Renata. This was the perfect first tour for my Rome trip because I was waking up late due to the jetlag. This really helps you get a layout for the city and many of the major locations you’ll want to hit on your vacation. Renata was very insightful and easy to talk to, and she had interesting facts for every piazza, church, or little easter egg around the city. At the end of the tour, she gave me a recommendation for a restaurant for that evening, and it ended up being very tasty. My second tour was the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and Colosseum the next day with Valeria. I ended up oversleeping that morning, and had to rush to the meetup spot. I was lucky enough that Valeria had the patience and kindness to wait for me after I contacted Through Eternity of my late arrival time. That alone makes me want to give them a 5 star rating. Valeria, like her other colleague, was very insightful, was able to answer all of my questions and point out all the buildings and structures within the Forum. Upon attending the Colosseum, Valeria did a great job of showing what the building would have looked like during its prime, and also what a normal day at the Colosseum would have looked like. Lastly, I did a tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica with Brandon. The museums themselves are amazing, but I would highly recommend getting a tour guide for them because you’ll likely gloss over some amazing stuff due to the amount of art and archaeological finds within the Museums. Luckily Brandon, was the perfect guide for this job, as he has both an in depth knowledge of history and art thanks to his background in Classics. I let him know I was interested in Roman history, and he did a great job in highlighting portions of the museums that were of my interest. But he even did a great job of explaining to me much of the Renaissance and later art, to where I felt like I understood the significance and beauty. Last but not least, Brandon is a funny guy, and keeps the tour lively with some well placed jokes. Do not go to these places without a tour guide like Brandon at your side. Overall I was very happy with my choice of picking Through Eternity Tours for my vacation, and next time I am in Western Europe or Turkey I will be coming back to them for additional insights and adventures.
