Thames River Trip provides Perfect Introduction to London’s Historic Sights
The boat tour, which we took on our first day in London, was a perfect way to get the lay of the land and see a number of iconic historic sites. We disembarked at Greenwich, a wonderful place to spend a few hours. The boat captain provided informative and entertaining commentary.

Wonderful low key view of London from the Thames
A fantastic journey up the Thames! The boat was clean and well managed. The crew did a great job of pointing out particular sites to see along the way including things to do in Greenwich upon arrival. Everything about the process from booking, boarding, departures and return trip was wonderful. Definitely recommend as a way to see London from the Thames!

A great trip down the Thames.
We thoroughly enjoyed our round trip from Westminster Poer to Greenwich. We were helped aboard by the chap who was in charge. His commentary about London, buildings to see along the way etc was superb. He was really friendly and we learnt a lot. Would definitely book again.

This is a leisurely trip with excellent and amusing commentary. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day and sat on the open upper deck. Learned a lot about London .

Iconic Views of London from Thames River
My family enjoyed sightseeing the iconic views of London from the Thames River. The tour guide had a very dry sense of humor, which made the cruise even more enjoyable. The only problem we had was the tour operator canceled one of the later afternoon return times that made our time in Greenwich more limited because we had to return earlier.

Great way to see important Landmarks of London
This trip was very nice. It gives a narrated tour by a real person and highlights all the important sites along the Thames. If you get the round trip ticket, there is no need to leave the boat when it gets to the end of the first trip away from London. Just stay on the boat and return.

Good Visit, Although a Tub Strike was a Hassle
Discovered an underground strike the day before travel means many days of lots of walking to find bus stops. The strike ended 3 days before the end of my trip. Absent that hassle, the trip was good. It did rain several days, but we also had warm, sunny days. Highly recommend the Thames Boat Tour from Westminster to Greenwich; got lucky with a gorgeous day, an interesting commentary on the ride down river, and plenty of time at Greenwich before coming back up river. Visiting the Greenwich Observatory is worth the climb up the hill. The Museum of London, in the Docklands area was also well-worth seeing, filled with everything you ever wanted to know about London. At the time, they also had an exhibit about Mudlarking, which was very interesting. Lodging was at the Grand Royale Hyde hotel, across the road from Hyde Park, around a corner from a Tube station, and within walking distance of Paddington Station. Room was small, but comfortable. They offer a breakfast for additional fee, although beware the hotel is completely cashless (which I also found in many food stops). Visiting in early September meant there will lots of other visitors, too. Crowds could get pretty large at major transit stations, although the museums I visited were fairly quiet.

got on at Westminster - tour guide gave a lot of information great ride, it was a beautiful day - got off at Greenwich to spend the day - on the way back the other tour guide was silent until tower bridge

Great experience with perfect weather today! Our guide was very informative and funny! There were so many sites to see and only so much time, but it was a great overview and let us see other points of interest that we would like to go back and explore!
