Pretty nice experience. We arrived at 10:45 as directed. Didn’t leave until 11:23. Enjoyed the narration. What there was of it. Wish there had been more. We did not pay for just a boat ride. We would like to have had more information and clever stories to share.

Great sights and unexpected guide.

The route of the boat is perfect for sightseeing. It could be made more clear that the guides are the people manning the boat. While they did an excellent job, they emphasized that they were not tour guides and I was under the impression a sightseeing tour would have a guide. Perhaps that was an oversight on my part but it was not quite what I expected.

We were approached on Westminster Bridge by a bunch of venders in red jackets and bought tickets on the spot. I had my two boys with so the quoted 'up to 40 minutes' cruise sounded just fine. Our tickets couldn't be scanned at the pier! Returned to salesman who accompanied us to pier and suddenly the tickets worked! Unnecessary waste of time and undue stress. Tour seemed more like 30 minutes WITH stops at 4 piers along the way!!! Every few minutes we lined up around 20 metres parallel to a pier along the route and were tugged in by an extremely loud motor that drowned out all speech. New people onboard then out 20 metres and on again. Each stop took several minutes. This happened repeatedly. The guided part of the tour, albeit brief, was very humorous and a lot of fun. We just wished it had been one continuous tour from pier to pier without the stops.

Tips please

Enjoyed the trip but the constant reminder of giving tips every five minutes coming around with a tip bucket was quite distracting from the purpose of the trip

This is the second time we have used the company for a school party. The first time, we waited on the quayside for almost an hour as the boat we had booked (confirmed over the phone and on ticket) didn't exist. We had 60 children standing on the quayside for 50 minutes on a very cold, January day. The staff on the quayside were very unhelpful and just told is that we had to wait and that there was never a 12.40 boat to Westminster. The company were apologetic when I called and when we requested some reimbursement for the children, were offered a just a 15% discount on future bookings. We rebooked this year as the costings worked for a large school party and hoped that the incident was a one-off. Unfortunately, we were once again left waiting on the quayside for 40 minutes. We arrived while the boat was still docked but the gate to the boarding platform was locked. A member of staff waved to the attendant who turned their back on us and the boat left - we were there 10 minutes before the boat was due to leave. I called the office who then told me our boat was delayed but when the attendants came to us, they confirmed that the boat that had just left was ours. They also told us they were not made aware that a school party was boarding at 12.40 despite having booked 2 months in advance. We had to wait a further 30 minutes for another boat with 60 children and were late for our workshop at the Houses of Parliament. Disappointingly, there is also no audio on the boat to make passengers aware of the sights along the Thames. I am not sure it should be branded a sightseeing tour but rather a water taxi. Needless to say, we will not re-book for next year's trip. I would definitely not recommend booking for large parties especially if you are relying on getting somewhere at a certain time.

Thames River Tour – Westminster to Greenwich

Such a Wonderful Surprise

So much to see and do: shopping, Cutty Sack, Maritime College. Plan to visit again. Loved the cruise to get there.

We unfortunately missed our boat. Departure time was 4:20pm. We arrived at 4:10pm and waited for a boat that never came. On checking and rechecking our tickets, we spied a note stating that the meeting time was 4:05pm. Fine, our mistake, though this still does not explain why the boat either never arrived or had already left 10 minutes early, as we could clearly see the embarkation point from the pier (particularly when they would have been fully aware that they were missing customers as we had already secured and paid for our tickets via their website). This was very disappointing and lead to many tears from our young daughter.

Great trip

Very well organised. My grandson and I waited in the covered area for the boat to arrive, and when it did, there were staff on hand yo help us on. It was -2 on the day we travelled so the top area was closed, which we were a bit disappointed with, but it's totally understandable as it was frozen solid. The guide was very informative and the views were amazing. We got off at Tower Bridge.

Excellent trip, fabulous commentary along the way

Well worth braving the cold January weather to take this trip from Tower Pier to Westminster. The staff were amazing and the commentary along the way was entertaining in both the information and the humour.

Great way to see parts of the city. The staff were very friendly and the "tour" portion offered by the staff was hilarious. Good value for money and a flexible way to travel between popular spots.
