This is a great way to spend your time in Mexico City. The tour is very comprehensive. A lesson on the history of Roma Norte, the architecture of the neighborhood, the people and of course, food! Natalie, our guide, was fantastic. She made sure we were comfortable and provided the best accommodation. We were stuffed by the end of the tour and had so much fun!

Friends and I did the Coyoacán food tour with Jimena and it was amazing! Sooooo much food - my fav spot was the quesadilla (best I’ve ever had!) at the food market and my friends really liked the mole tostada. Jimena shared insights to the food and owners off the stands that we visited which made the tour even more enjoyable. She was a lovely guide - friendly with very good English. Highly recommend this tour!

Our group of 4 highly enjoyed our food tour with Jimena! She toured us around Coyoacán and took us to 7 unique spots where we tasted everything from quesadillas to churros. All throughout the tour she gave us insightful historical references and made sure we were having a good time. We were each filled to the brim by the end, but it was well worth it to try so many bold flavors. Highly recommend this food tour and definitely try to book with Jimena!

Camilla was awesome during the tour, we came as a pair and was lucky that there were no other people in the group so it ended up being a private tour through the food spots which was amazing, gave a real sense of what it is like in Mexico with the different cuisines!

Kick Start your Mexico city tour

Our first day in Mexico City & what a start it was. This tour was recommended to us by a friend & it was a wonderful way to start our stay in Mexico City. Sights, sounds, smells but most of the excellent Food Tour!! We feel our tour guide, Jimena Hernandez was more than up the task and the energy required to make this tour for us memorable. The variety of food on the tour & the venues was excellent. It ticked all the boxes!! Couldn't recommend Food Tours and Jimena Hernandez (tour guide) more highly. Cheers Andre, Alexander & Nola

Filling and fun food tour

This was a wide-ranging food tour of many Mexican delicacies, lasting almost six hours! Needless to say, we cancelled our dinner reservation for that night. Tammy, our tour guide, was warm, funny, and full of incredible knowledge. We brought two kids, ages 7 and 10, and the tour was great for them too.

Tania was an excellent guide who explained what to expect on the tour, the historic development of the culture, the city and the food. She gave great recommendations when we weren’t sure of something. She was patient and gave us enough time to enjoy and transition from each stop. She is an excellent tour guide!

Must Try Food Tour in Mexico

Such a wonderful food tour of Coyoacán! We absolutely loved our guide Jimena, she was both knowledgeable and fun! We tried markets and food stands that as tourists we never would have found. Had a taste of many dishes - the quesadilla and tostada were favorites! Learned a lot about the culture and was also a good walking tour of the neighborhood. I was easily accommodated as a pescatarian. No need for dinner afterwards! And bellies felt fine the next day :)
