Great way to spend an evening!

Our evening with Fernanda was fun and educational. We tasted a variety of tacos and learned about the various types. All were delicious. We were surprised to find one taco stand with a Michelin star. Fernanda explained the history of the various styles and locations from very basic taco stands to gourmet, creative places. And then there was the mescal tasting at a super cool mescal bar. We tasted several types and learned about the production and cultural significance. Fernanda made the evening fun and enjoyable in every way!

Best food tour around

Our Guide Monse was amazing. Very fun, very entertaining and lots of great information about the foods, drinks and architectural areas we walked thru. The food was amazing. We tried foods that none of us had ever tasted before. All the food and beverages are sourced and made locally! Just wait until your last stop….OMG what a great ending and special tour.

Perfect way to spend an afternoon

We had a wonderful afternoon with Elba tasting amazing food of Mexico and learning about the history and architecture of Roma. The food and drink selections were delicious, varied and beautifully presented. Fun to learn about foods from around Mexico. Elba was delightful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour!

Fun and filling tour!

Monserrat was an awesome guide. She’s very upbeat and energetic. We did a private tour and she turned out to be fun and very knowledgeable about Mexican history and tacos! It was great that she had the ability to forego any queues to save us a bunch of waiting at the different taco stops. The food was delicious but I was not able to finish the 9 tacos. I think I hit the wall around 7 or 8. But managed through okay. We also were able to change out the mezcal stop for some dessert and hot chocolate (since it was only us in the private tour). I highly recommend.

Amazing walking food tour in Centro Histórico!!

This was our first food tour and we had a great time!! Our guide Jossie was awesome!! She explained the history of each place we went to and what they are known for before we sampled the food. It was not just a food tour but she also gave us a nice history of the city, pointing out key historical sites as we were walking. It was also nice that the food sampling was spread out for 5 hours with lots of walking in-between. One thing I would have liked is some real dessert sampling at the end. We did get a taste of flan at the end as Jossie surprised a couple celebrating their 10th anniversary which was a really nice touch 🥰!!

I had a lovely time...

I had a lovely time exploring a breadth food and sights that would have otherwise been missed. The tour provided a flavour of the city beyond just the culinary (though the food choices certainly did not disappoint!). A friendly, relaxed afternoon, I would certainly recommend. Something I really loved during my visit to Mexico City

For those who loves Mexico and interested to learn more about mexican food, this is a must have tour. We were a small group of 10 people, and our tour guide was Tamara Gomez. I was worried that 5 hours walking would be too much, but I enjoyed every moment and was not tired walking at all, also I did not expect that my stomach would be so full and that I will not need dinner that day. We were given our tour plan, and we knew where we were going and what kind of food to expect. I am not going to tell you all the details, trust me you will be pleasantly surprised. Tamara was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and with sense of humour, Those restaurants from our tour were so good, that later during my stay in Mexico City I visited two of those restaurants on my own for dinner. The Food tour route goes in the historical part of Mexico City, so you will see a lot besides visiting restaurants. Well worth the price, it is a really fun tour to have.

This tour was great!...

This tour was great! Fernanda was an excellent tour guide who had a ton of knowledge about the different stops on the tour and about the city in general. The tacos were awesome, and I was definitely full at the end of the tour. They were a good mix of different types and flavors which made it really cool. It was a good mix of walking and driving between stops. I did this tour on my first day in the city which was really helpful for getting familiar with the city. Would definitely recommend this tour to others.

I highly recommend Sabores Mexico Food Tours. We had a brilliant day yesterday, having booked a tour in Coyoacan with our guide, Jimena, a warm and smart person raised and living in Coyoacan. Jimena met us promptly at a really cool coffee shop, El Beneficio de la Duda, …charming and characteristic with great coffee and pastries. We then explored the surrounding barrio, starting with several stops within Mercado de Coyoacan. The market is an explosion of color, aromas and texture. The food was off the charts, and I am confident we would not have stumbled onto such a rich experience without Jimena’s insight and guidance. We booked the “7 Lugares” option, but Jimena seemed to add in extra stops based on our reactions and interests. Truly I can’t say enough, certainly about the introduction to authentic Mexican cuisine but more generally about the rich culture and history of this chic district within CDMX. Brilliant!

This was truly one of the best food tours I’ve ever experienced. It offered such a beautiful variety from restaurants to markets to street stalls and our guide, Josette, was phenomenal. She was warm, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable, weaving together the history of the food with the history of the city. The tour lasted a little over five hours, and every moment was worth it. The group was also such a joy to spend the day with. Great five hours of eating, learning, laughing, and pretending I still had room for “just one more bite.” Loved the group, loved the food, loved everything. I honestly can’t recommend it enough 10/10.

We had a great tour with Angel around historic centre of Mexico City. He gave us many stories and history of area and food culture. A small group of 6 made the tour more intimate and fun. Best thing about tour was the variety of tastings of authentic Mexican food from street food to cantina to restaurants.
