I did the taco tour on Dec 14th with Monse as our guide. It exceeded my expectations in every way! The food was perfect, Monse was amazing at explaining the history or reasons why a particular place was chosen. I feel we really got to experience an amazingly well rounded sample of what the city has to offer. The mezcal sampling was also perfect! Of course like ever taco, every sample was given to us with a wonderfully illustrative description by Monse. I highly recommend this tour for a great “taste” of history, tacos, and mezcal with many laughs to be had along the way!

Excellent food tour

This was such a fun way to explore Roma and all the fabulous restaurant options. Elba was such a terrific guide and provided so much historical and cultural context throughout this 4 hr long tour. Highly recommend. Come hungry - LOTS of food to sample!

Tastes of the City

It’s hard to know where to start tasting your way through Mexico City, which is why we chose this tour—and it delivered on many levels. We sampled a wonderful variety of small bites featuring traditional Mexican dishes and beverages. In addition to the delicious food and drinks, we learned about the history of Roma and the origins of the dishes we tasted. I especially appreciated that the restaurants we visited were locally owned, small establishments, which made the experience feel authentic and meaningful. Our tour guide was positive and pleasant to spend the day with.

Jossie was fantastic. I loved her level of knowledge and enthusiasm. She had some visual aids she used to clarify and drive points how which I found an effective method of communicating the details of the tour. The choices were great on the tour. I’ve gone back to two of them. The candy shop, the mole, the ceviche tostadas… mystery meat at San Juan. You’ll have a great time!

Great food tour in centro!

Angel and Mayra were wonderful tour guides. This was a great walking and food tour with many stops along the way and many samples. I really appreciate the thoughtful accomodation of dietary restrictions too. It was 4-5 hours long. Make sure to come hungry!

The food was fantastic. We tried all sorts of dishes. Lots of adventurous food with typical dishes. Tammy was an amazing story teller. She captured your attention with historical information that was captivating. She made you love the city even more. Myra was so sweet and gave us amazing tips for the rest of our trip. Very personable. All the restaurants were clean and had restrooms provided. Our guides were excellent at going above and beyond for food restrictions and pointing out historical figures. They even gave us a map of places to see before we go. We would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Definitely one of the best tours I have ever taken. Tania was an amazing guide and host and showed us fun and delicious eating spots in Mexico City. The pace was perfect. We got to taste lots of good food, but it never felt like too much. It was a terrific variety of food experiences, from nicer restaurants to street food to market. Highly recommended!

Our guide, Camila was wonderful and the portions were fine, but I thought much of the food was average. Still, a nice way to spend an afternoon.

Overall, I’m satisfied with this tour. Our tour guide, Tonia, was great. She was very passionate about both Mexican cuisine and Mexican history and culture. Her English was also very good and I was able to understand her clearly the entire time. She also kept an upbeat and positive energy that kept us all engaged for the full 5 hours.

Well-designed food tour

Excellent tour. Lots of tasty food, but well-managed to avoid feeling too full. Over 5 hours (longer than normal I think but we were talking a lot and everyone was happy to take extra time) and a little bit of walking and sightseeing between stops helped digest the food. Jossie was fun and patiently answered our non-food questions about Mexican society.

This tour will definitely leave you walking away very full! I appreciated that we avoided tacos and instead focused on the other tasty parts of Mexico city. Angel and Maya were super helpful, insightful, and passionate about Mexican cuisine. Highly recommended as it will take you to places slightly off the beaten path, and give you a better appreciation of the food we eat.
