An Incredible Food and Drinks tour in Mexico City

The tour incorporated the history of the historic city centre together with tasting authentic Mexican cuisine from elegant restaurants to street vendors finishing with an amazing pastry shop. Our guide Tanya provided stories and history of the city and the food, including the history of the restaurants, cantina, and street vendors. Well worth it!

Roma tour

We spent 4 hours touring the Roma Nte area with our guide Camilla. She was great. Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful with questions and suggestions for the area. We had great food tasting at a good number of locations. We went to places that we would have otherwise never stopped. The food was excellent. Highly recommend Camilla.

Wonderful tour visiting cantinas to experience local life, fun food and drinks. Jorge shared his vast knowledge of Merida and the cantina life. In addition to the history, you get to try great food at each location plus a local favorite beverage such as mezcal, local beer, rum and vodka drinks. We had a fantastic time. Come hungry & thirsty. It's worth it.

A fantastic food& drink cantina tour. Jorge provided great information about Meridas history as we walked between cantinas. At each historic cantina we got wonderful food & drink plus the history stories about the cantina. You need to come hungry and thirsty!!! I rate this tour as one of the best in Merida. With our fabulous guide, Dania, we visited many places selected for their excellent Yucatecan food, from market stalls to a coffee tasting, fruit tasting and cantinas. We ate so much delicious food, learned a lot about local history and cuisine, and got to know the other members of our group. A truly memorable experience!

Great for Non-Celiacs

While the tour, the tour guide, and the food was great, unfortunately I don't recommend this tour for celiacs or those with gluten intolerances (3/5 stars). I have celiac disease and it seemed to me that the tour guide was doing her best to ensure the food I was given was gluten free. Halfway through the tour, however, I started to get symptoms that made it clear to me I had been glutened somewhere along the way. It's impossible for me to know whether I consumed gluten-containing food or a sauce, or whether it was caused by cross contamination in a restaurant kitchen. If you don't have celiac disease or a gluten intolerance, I suspect you'll enjoy this tour (5/5 stars). The food is delicious, the food stops were fantastic and historic, and the tour guide was very friendly.
