Great Dog Sledding Adventure
This was such a blast. I reviewed various dog sledding options and I found Rod's Alaskan Guide Service to be the most responsive. There are two people per sled and the guide. The guides are independent and own their own dogs. Our guide Joanna was wonderful. She answered all our questions about owning, training, and racing the dogs. With slight commands she guided the dogs on the trail. She really made our trip special. If you go to their website they have a 1 hour and 2 hour option. The 1 hour was perfect for our group of 7 people. With the 1 hour, you also get to stand at the back of the sled with the guide and get the full mushing experience. But hold on tight! You also get lots of time to pet and take pictures with the dogs. The dogs are so friendly and eager to go. They seem well treated and really happy to be running on the trail. This was a highlight of our trip.

Unforgettable Snowmobiling experience!
Great experience! Reasonably priced. Our tour guide Victoria was just amazing. She made sure everyone stayed together and no one was left behind while making sure everyone had a great time. Good at reading people and increased speeds on the snowmobiles only when safe to do so in a group.

Rod' team provided my family with an amazing exposure to the winter FUN of interior Alaska. They are kind and professional. Their gear and equipment are clean and in excellent working condition. The ladies keep the reception areas neat and organized. Highly recommend!

Snowmobile Guided Tour
This was the best experience we had in Alaska so far! We all really enjoyed the snowmobile rides and Victoria made our experience even better. She gave us clear instructions and guided us safely for the whole trip. Weather and was beautiful and temperature was freezing but amazing. Overall, definitely recommended if you enjoy cruising fast!

Ice Fishing: A Unique Experience!
We had an amazing morning fishing with Cody at Rods Alaskan Guide Service! We hauled in several King and Silver Salmon, a Rainbow Trout and an Arctic Char! Cody then filleted and grilled them up for us alongside some Reindeer Sausages! A memory we won't soon forget. Thanks! ❤️

Thrilling Snowmachine Tour with Rod's
Our snow machine tour with Rod's Alaskan Guide Service was a blast, thanks to Josh! Rod's provided great snowmobiles for exploring the stunning Alaskan winter. Josh was a fantastic guide, keeping us safe and making the ride exciting. We even had a minor "stuck" moment, but Josh expertly got us back on track with good humor. The scenery was incredible. Highly recommend Rod's for a thrilling snow machine adventure – especially with Josh, who's ready for anything! Rating: 5/5 stars Definitely Recommend!

So much fun!
It was so fun to go dog sledding here! Everyone was so friendly and kindly had lots of winter gear (coats, snow pants, gloves, etc) for us to borrow. Lots of fun talking to Matt Hall about mushing and meeting his dogs!

Laura Alloway at Rod's Alakan Guide Service - Outstanding
What a trememdous experience. Laura Allaway our guide was fun, extremely informative and helped us have wonderful time. The staff along with Rod's wife (sorry I didn't get your name were 5 star helpful. We were the last run of the day but by their engagement you would have thought we were the first customers they had ever had. Chosing Laura and Rod's Alaskan Guide Service was our best decision of the trip.

2 hour guided snowmobile tour
We had an amazing time on this tour! Josh was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring everyone had a great experience. The highlight? Getting some free time at the end to freestyle at the lake! They provide plenty of gear if you need it, and inside, you’ll find some adorable dogs to greet you while you get ready. Highly recommend this experience if you’re visiting North Pole or Fairbanks!

The highlight of the...
The highlight of the trip! Fish were surprisingly active overnight and we caught enough king and silver salmon for everyone. The cabin was warm enough for me to take my outer coat off, and very spacious and clean. Mike was a fantastic guide - very knowledgeable about seemingly everything, was proactive in helping everyone have a great time, and a great chef! And we were lucky enough to see lady Aurora. 10/10

The entire staff of Rod's was amazing! I took all family members here for dog mushing, snow machine riding, and ice fishing. The base staff were all friendly and helpful. The building clean and organized. The gear also clean and in good repair. Their equipment was in perfect running order. From the initial phone call to the end of the last tour, their kindness and professionalism were always "on point".

Had an excellent time on our dog sledding tour. Joanna and Kristen were fantastic guides. I'd definitely do this again, and ask for them as guides. There was a great mix of riding in the sled, stopping to pet the dogs and take pictures, and even riding standing on the back of the sled. I highly recommend this tour!

My sister and I had the absolute best time dogsledding!! Our musher was Matt Hall and he was so friendly and knowledgeable and made the experience great! And the dogs were just the best! Couldn’t recommend this experience more.
