Gone too fast
We had a great experience and the time went by so fast with Joey and Luther leading the dog sledding teams. We even were able to meet and pet the dogs

So worth it!
Great time with Luther and his doggos!! Luther was really knowledgeable and told us all about what it takes to race and take care of Alaskan huskies. You can tell they have a great bond and see the affection there. The ride was super easy and comfortable, steady enough to record and take pics the entire time. We were able to drive the sled alongside him and spent some time stopping to get pictures (it was snowing so it was even more scenic), plus meet and pet such sweet dogs. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Fairbanks, Rod’s has a number of activities, they’ll load you up with gear to stay warm and everyone is super friendly. Great experience all around :)

I took the snowmobile tour. The whole operation was impressive. The staff was friendly and the provided gear and snowmobiles were in excellent condition. The route was scenic and our guide Victoria gave clear instructions and was an expert at spotting moose. We got to watch two moose feeding on the willows. She also brought us to a frozen lake where we visited an ice fishing shack. We went in and were able to look down the holes through the thick ice and see fish. If your are visiting Alaska in the winter or have guests coming up, Rod's is an excellent option and Victoria is an outstanding guide.

This was such a blast. I reviewed various dog sledding options and I found Rod's Alaskan Guide Service to be the most responsive. They provide all the outer gear to keep you warm. There are two people per sled and the guide. The guides are independent and own their own dogs. Our guide Joanna was wonderful. She answered all our questions about owning, training, and racing the dogs. With slight commands she guided the dogs on the trail. She really made our trip special. If you go to their website they have a 1 hour and 2 hour option. The 1 hour was perfect for our group of 7 people. With the 1 hour, you also get to stand at the back of the sled with the guide and get the full mushing experience. But hold on tight! You also get lots of time to pet and take pictures with the dogs. The dogs are so friendly and eager to go. They seem well treated and really happy to be running on the trail. This was a highlight of our trip.

Nice trip with Emily
Me and my friend booked a 2-hour experience with Rods on spring break vacation. The experience in wonderful! We met Emily and her 9 cute dogs. The dogs are very cute and clever. They run quite fast and they do not want to stop running! We pet every dog during the short breaks and have a good time with them. Emily is nice and happy to answer our questions and share her interesting story with Alaska!

Excellent Sled Dog Adventure in Alaska
The women at Rod’s were so nice and got us all geared up in warm close to go out sledding with the guys, Joey and Luther. My husband and I road with Joey and his team and my adult son went with Luther. We each had a great time riding and learning about the dogs and sled racing. I would highly recommend these two excellent and professional guides. I love how much they care for their dogs.

Fun experience and learned tons!
We did the Dog Sledding experience with Laura A and LOVED it! She was informative and fun and made sure we had a great time. 2 hours was a perfect amount of time and I would recommend anyone try this. The seating is decently comfortable (with back issues I was worried but no problems) and the dogs are fun to get to know and to see how she trains them and how they respond to her. We enjoyed our time and the clothing provided is great, no need to bring anything. We also did the snowmobile trip on a separate day and enjoyed it as well.

Great experience with Laura Allaway went back for a second time based on such a great experience mushing wonderful team of dogs she had.. all dogs well trained and taken care of..such a great experience ...enjoyed it so much we went back for another day.. Fun! I am good at fish for the first time.
We have a great experience with Noah! We have about 13 people in a wood cabin that is very warm. Fishing is not hard and very fun. I got 6 fish in 3 hours! Everyone got a well-cooked salmon in the end. There are a lot of bald eagles at that place as well. You may see them walk on the snow.

Awesome tour with Noah
Our guide Noah was awesome. Took great care of us, and was very fun and patient with our kid. We got to fish both inside, where we could see a lot of fish through the fishing holes, and outside, where the scenery is just beautiful. Had an amazing time and caught a lot of fish (our nine year old caught more than 10)! Highly recommend this tour!

A perfect afternoon of fun.
What a truly delightful time we had mushing with Iditarod and Yukon musher Matt Hall. Matt was super friendly and excited to share about his mushing experiences. His team of dogs were sweet, friendly, and ready to give us a wonderful ride. Only complaint is that we should have booked a longer ride to keep the fun going. Thanks Matt and Rod's (an excellent company).
