Dog Sledding Adventure by Jimmy the Musher

We went dog sledding and it was a blast. Jimmy is awesome and his dogs were the best. Special shoutout to Tesla, we loved her. Absolutely recommend Rod’s Guide Service and especially Jimmy the musher!

Great trip

We had a wonderful time on the trip! Cooper was amazing during the trip and gave us some historical information regarding his dogs and how dog mushing started. We would definitely come back!

Had an amazing time dogsledding today with Cooper. My husband and I are on an Alaskan winter vacation celebrating each other and the beauties of this great state. The dogs are loved and well taken care of. Excellent gear as well. I highly recommend We also did the 2 hour snowmobile excursion with Josh. If you love the outdoors and an adventure... this is it. There are miles and miles of trails... you won't be bored. The snowmobile were in excellent condition and even had heated handle grips which you will appreciate in January and February below zero temps. Our helmets had heated visors and we were geared up with everything we needed to stay warm and safe. This place has it going on and I'm glad I chose Rods.

Winter family vacation event

The customer service from arrival to departure was excellent. The dog sledding was fun and a unique experience I will long remember.

Interesting and unique experience in Alaska

We were able to see the light and get 20 something salmons with Mike. He was such a great guide. He made sure we can see the light by constantly checking the light outside and let us know as soon as he saw something. He helped us set up fishing camera that greatly increased the chance of getting some fish. He was also very knowledgeable and skillful at what he does. Great overall experience.

We had a great time ice fishing! Our guide was friendly and full of interesting stories. We caught lots of fish, stayed warm, and enjoyed a delicious lunch!

Friendly, patient, and had excellently maintained equipment. We were a big group including one member with her broken foot in a boot, and everyone went above and beyond in helping us get outfitted and making sure we were all set and comfortable before heading out on our snow machine adventure. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience ice fishing!

We had so much fun ice fishing! The cabin was warm and Kody was extremely friendly and helpful. Catching fish was exciting and whole experience was fun. We got to eat reindeer hotdogs and the fish we caught. Kody did a great job cooking both, especially the fish was delicious. Just remember to wear FEET WARMERS in your shoe. Cause the floor is still cold even if you’re not standing directly on the ice.

Great ice fishing experience

Great Ice fishing experience! I have never been ice fishing, been fishing but never ice fishing. Was warm in the cabin and -35 outside! Guide Trevor was great. We even got to watch the resident Eagle! Overall great experience

Cody best host!

This was an amazing day! Cody was the best host and made sure everyone had what they needed. Even with a temp of -27 everyone had a great time. Highly recommend with Cody.

Great place for tourists!!!

Guide Jonah was amazing! Dogs were so cute and the views were very pretty! We went in the morning at 9am. Still dark at outside but it was amazing! We also did snow mobile as well. All the guides are very professional and care for customers very well! I would definitely recommend who looking for any tours!!! Thank you and I would go back next time when I go to Alaska!!!

Whole family enjoyed much...

Whole family enjoyed much including my young adult son and daughter, my husband and myself! We each rode a single snowmobile for 1hr. It’s very helpful that Rod’s has parka and snow boots to keep us warm to fully enjoy it.

We had a blast with Trevor, he was an awesome guide! This was our first time Ice Fishing and it was truly a fun and unique experience. As someone who is used to fish in the sea, I enjoyed myself very much. Trevor made the experience much better with his knowledge, experience and charisma. The lodge are very cosy and warm and they are totally worth it as it was extremely cold outside. After successfuly catching a few fish, Trevor cleaned them and cooked them and they were delicious. I addition, Trevor used leftover to feed an eagle, which was impressive and interesting to watch so close. They also offered us a tasty sausage and hot chocolate drink while fishing and it made the experience much better.
