We had an amazing time with Luther and his team of Alaskan huskies. Luther was very knowledgeable and taught us so much about the sport of dog racing. 10/10 would recommend!

Great experience
It was an amazing day. Beautiful sunny snowy. The dogs were wonderful so excited to go. They were wonderful. The mushers Deke, Emma, and Jimmy who also own the dogs were fabulous only regret is that we did not do an hour.

Mike was amazing! Well heated and clean cabin. He kept us informed on how to fish and when the northern lights were coming out. 10000% recommend him!

Wise, passionate and fun!
Had an absolute blast riding around the area with Jimmy and his Dogs! Not to forget, getting to feed and pet them! Started asking questions about the dogs and sledding culture and Jimmy’s wisdom and passion for his dogs and sledding seem truly infinite! It really broadened my family and I’s mind and made for a great experience overall! Highly recommend coming here if you’re looking to experience Alaska, resident or tourist, they’re here for everyone!

Ice fishing North Pole
Went ice fishing On Chena Lake! Absolutely the best Ice fishing experience. Was nice and warm in the cabin. Trevor was our guide and he was very knowledgeable on all Alaska fish and nature!!!! Highly recommend this!!! Veterans owned business. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

We had a great dogsledding adventure. We booked the two hour tour. It was just me, my husband, our musher Cooper, and 8 fantastic sled dogs. The two-hour tour was pricey, but it felt like a pretty good value. We had plenty of time with the dogs, plenty of time sledding, and everyone took really good care of it. Our dogs were owned by Matt Hill, who does the Iditarod. It was very fun to ride the sled and take breaks to pet the dogs. For the two hour tour, we also got to “ride the rails” with our musher–which was standing behind the sled while it was being pulled. And we asked about a million questions of our musher about how the dogs are cared for and how sledding works. I absolutely fell in love with the dogs, especially Java who always wanted to be pet. Rod’s contracts with different mushers, rather than having dogs and mushers of their own, so it’s possible different folks may have varying experiences, but it looked like everyone else dogsledding was having a good time. The check-in staff at Rod’s were great. They definitely have a system for getting each party ready efficiently for their adventures. The gear they loaned us was awesome. The “bunny boots” were incredibly cozy–I would have frozen my feet in my own boots. The snowpants and coats were super warm too. I’m pretty picky about smells and cleanliness with rented gear, but I felt like Rod’s were taking good care of their gear. And I appreciated that the gear attendant noticed my husband left his beanie in a pocket:)

The guide was very friendly. The fish weren’t biting much but he did everything he could to help us have success. It was a very cold and windy day but he has a stove to keep it warm. There is a bald eagle that lands next to where their fishing cabin is. so we got to watch the eagle.

It was one of the best tours of our vacation! If I could give 6 stars to the guide Mike and his dog Zero, I would! He was so professional, personal, fun and kind! Mike made us feel at home and made our experience simply unforgettable! Fishing was so much fun and time just flew by. Hot dogs were delicious, so was freshly cooked salmon! Hot drinks were on point. We even fed fish to a huge eagle! I highly recommend this experience!

Laura is the best musher
It was a 1000/10 experience. Our musher/guide ,Laura was so incredibly fun, friendly and knowledgeable and she loves her job and her team. The guide service is also incredible in a way that help you prepare for the activity by providing extra mittens, boots or winter clothing to keep you more warm outdoor. Overall, it was such an incredible experience to be pulled by a team of dogs on a sled, and this activity is highly recommended for everyone who wanted to experience Alaska in a true sense.
