Highly recommend the dog sledding, it has been one of the highlights of our trip. My girlfriend and I are visiting Fairbanks for a week and wanted to try dog sledding. We were paired with Laura and she was awesome! She was very friendly, answered all of our questions, and allowed us to meet and pet all of the dogs on her team.

We snowmobile a lot, and this by far was the most comfortable we have ever been! They have the best gear and the most awesome guides. Victoria was our guide for the snowmobile tour and she was amazing. She stopped at the most perfect spots for us to take pics. She pointed out three moose. One was a cow with her baby💕 After our snowmobile tour, we did a four hour ice fishing tour. Mike got us set up and catching fish within 10 minutes of arriving. We had a great group of a dad and his three sons that joined us. Mike had everyone catching fish/he was making us hot chocolates and he’s a mean chef. He filleted the fish and grilled them with butter and lemon pepper seasoning, which was amazing😋 We will always book with Ron’s on our return trips to Alaska!

Fun and beautiful tour
My first time using a snow machine and loved it! Victoria was an awesome guide. She made us feel very comfortable. The gear they lent us kept us warm. We were able to see two moose and a bald eagle.

Our guide Joe was such a good guide! He told us a lot of information of dog sledding. He was so very nice and took our photos too. It was honestly my bucketlist so I had a huge expectation of it and it was as good as my expectations! Thanks for making my dreams come true!

Unforgettable Dog Sledding Experience!
Dog sledding was an absolute thrill! The huskies were energetic and well-cared for, and gliding through the snow-covered wilderness was pure magic. Our musher was knowledgeable, and we even got to drive the sled! The breathtaking scenery, the bond between the dogs and their handlers, and the rush of the ride made this an unforgettable adventure. A must-do for anyone seeking a unique winter experience!

Outstanding place with awesome people and amazing dogs. We did the Dog Sledding run and had a blast. Yea it was a bit cold but they bundle you up with a full stash of jackets, boots and cold weather gear to use. They only offered Water bottle and coffee and hot cocoa so if looking for something else better pack it.

Lots of fun!
The tour was great! We got to pet the dogs and ride in and drive the sled. They make sure you’ve got enough gear to stay warm and provide anything you might be missing. I’m horrible and don’t remember our guides names but Tesla and Electra were a couple of the dogs and they were great!

Great time!
We caught a bunch of fish! The cabin was nice and our guide Mike was great! We had to leave a little early to make it to another tour and he was very accommodating in getting our fish cooked up in time.

Visited recently for a snowmobile tour and a dog sled tour. Went on the 2 hour snowmobile tour with Josh as our guide and had a great time! He did a great job providing clear instructions on how to operate and helped take photos and videos of the trip. For the dog sledding, went on a 30 minute tour with Luther as our musher. It was a great experience and a lot of fun meeting Luther’s pack. Would highly recommend Rod’s for both snowmobile and dog sled adventures

Amazing experience
Five stars. It was our first time ice fishing although we both have some fishing experience in Montana. Mike was friendly and knowledgeable. He kept things relaxed and we had an amazing time. Zero added to the fun, it’s always great to have a friendly dog around. We look forward to doing this again.

We love coming to Alaska. Last year we actually booked with Rods for Ice Fishing and loved it so much. We booked it again and our guide Mike was amazing! Everything went extremely smooth, and Mike was very attentive to everyone. It was a great atmosphere and made this trip even better. Mike was efficient, kind, and helped as much as he could. Totally recommend and will be booking for the next time we come.
