Perfect Ice Fishing Experience
Cody was absolutely amazing! What a fun way to spend an afternoon! He helped with all the steps of baiting, catching, photos and fresh cooked our catch! 10/10 reccomend!!! All on his birthday too!

Dog Sledding Experience.
It was so much fun mushing through the woods. Luther did a great job explaining how the dogs train and live. Getting to meet the stars of the show was so much fun. Would recommend Luther and this experience to everyone!

Will was such an AMAZING guide! Came with family and was worried about my grandma, as she drove her own machine. Will did an amazing job at making sure she was all set and ready to go. Bathrooms and common spaces were clean and organized. Safe to say Grandma and I had a great time! Thank you, Will!

Great for all ages
This was a five star experience from start to finish. When we first arrived, they outfitted us for the ride. They had everything needed to stay warm including hats, gloves, scarves, coats, snow pants, and boots. We were warm throughout the ride despite the 15° temperature. We rode with Jimmy’s dogs and he was a great guide. The dogs were very friendly and excited to meet us. The 30 minute ride was a perfect length for us. We would do it again.

We had an incredible snowmobiling tour with Rod’s Alaskan Guide Service! The heated helmets and steering were a game changer, and we even spotted moose on the trail. Such an unforgettable experience!

Awesome, must do when in Fairbanks
This was awesome. Riding the snowmobiles were very fun. Our guide was knowledgeable and kind. We saw a moose! We had a nice stop in the middle to take pictures.

Our musher was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the sport. The dogs were so friendly and cute. We had a very unique and enjoyable experience.

Jimmy's Dogs were great on our tour!
Our mushing excursion was awesome! Jimmy was fun and informative and told us all about his dogs and their temperament, diet and how they work as a team. We had a great time!

Unforgettable Dog Sledding Experience with Luther!
Our dog sledding adventure with Luther was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, he made the experience both fun and informative. Luther is such a cool and knowledgeable guide—he answered all our questions with so much patience and genuine enthusiasm. One of the things that stood out the most was how well the dogs are cared for. After talking to Luther, it was clear that these dogs are truly living their best life. They are loved, well-trained, and treated with the utmost respect. Seeing their excitement and energy firsthand made the experience even more special. Fishing in cabin
Had so much fun Cody was the best. Fish were biting and it was nice and warm in the cabin. The cooked fished was a great treat to end it off with.

Great Alaskan Husky Sled Dog Experience
Great Experience. Our second Dog Sledding tour cuz we loved the first one so much. Rod's is well organized. Our Musher was Jimmy and he was great. He answered all of our questions about the dogs. He has a team of black dogs and they are beautiful and friendly. I could have spent the whole day just with the dogs.

Ice fishing review
Fun experience learning to ice fish. Got to fish both inside a warm cabin and outside if we wanted to. Guides were super friendly, and accommodating. They did an amazing job cooking our catch. Would recommend to anyone, experienced of no experience, just go!

Great guides make for a great experience!
Rods made our trip to North Pole area so memorable! We started with a dog sledding trip with Luther, we learned so much about dog mushing in Alaska got to play with his dogs and saw how loved all of his dogs are. It was definitely one of the things we will remember for years to come! Next up was snowmobiling with Victoria. She was so fun, she also did a great job reading everyone in the group to make sure the inexperienced people (myself) were comfortable and the experienced thrill seekers (my husband) were safe yet still having fun. Then we finished our experience with Rods doing an overnight ice fishing and aurora viewing experience with Trevor. This was absolutely incredible! Trevor did a great job taking care of us, making sure we knew what to do to catch fish, including the group that came with some younger kids he was patient and great with them, while he was keeping an eye on his aurora app to send us out when the lights were going off, and keeping us fed, warm with coco and tea, and keeping the fire stoked all night. Despite the late hour, the night flew by, the aurora was out dancing a lot of the night, everyone who was trying to catch fish caught fish and it was a night for the memory books for sure. All in all Rods Alaskan Guide Service made for such an incredible trip, so glad we booked with them. All of their staff back at the office were so friendly and helpful, especially the people who helped us get prepared with warm gear, I really appreciated them looking at my gear then telling me keep this, wear this of ours, I was so comfortable for all of our experiences. The bathrooms were also so clean, and the suiting up area was clean and well organized as well.

Mississippians do Alaska ice fishing
A great time for all ages! We enjoyed it! Loved getting to do something different (we can’t ice fish in Mississippi). We aren’t used to this degree of cold, so we dressed warm (and glad we did) but some people had on less layers than us (for those people wondering what to wear). Thank you to our guide who cooked the fish as well! Would highly recommend this activity!
