Excellent tour
One of the best guided tours I ever had. It’s actually more a masterclass than a tour: the guide Pablo guides you through a story that involves more than just the drug history in Medellin. In-depth discussions on the history and production process, the history and political situations and economics. Pablo knows very well how to explain difficult topics in a very clear way and was always able to answer clearly on questions from the group, and all of this with a very passionate attitude and personal involvement. It’s this type of experience that gives you so much more than a casual tour or the information you can find online.

A must do experience in Medellín
We did the Medellín Free walking tour with Hernan. He was just brilliant. The tour was interesting, informative and engaging. Hernan looked after the group and shared stores and points of interest. Herman’s passion for his city was infectious and I came away with resect and admiration for his city and its people. A great guide, informative trip and lots of tips for future exploring would 100% recommend.

The tour guide was so nice and we had so much fun learning about and eating the exotic fruit! We walked around a large market and our tour guide showed us how to eat certain fruits and we learned about where they are native to.

Great guide and tour, pour communication via company
Firstly the tour was terrific. I gave a 4 star due to poor communication. I was sent a message through Tripadvisor that our tour would be limited due to it being a holiday. We could reschedule or cancel. I tried for 2 days to contact the provider with no response. Finally as I was in the cab and on my way to meet up point, they responded. By this time it was too late for any changes. Arriving at the meet up point my guide Dave was on site. He assured me that the changes were very minimal, as it was only a juice stand. He had added more fruit to make up for it and also offered me a portion of my money back which I kindly refused. He agreed that the communication sent out made it sound worse then what it really was. The food tour itself was excellent. We tried 17 or 18 different varieties of fruit. Note you don't leave the market at all. Everything is tasted here and it is very limited walking. Dave did an incredible job with the tour and I highly recommend.

Wunderbare Tour. Sehr authentisch. Unser Guide Pablo war so nett, hat alles super erklärt und sich wirklich Zeit genommen. Die gut 3 Stunden gingen sehr schnell vorbei, da es vollumfänglich sehr interessant war. Die Tour ist ebenfalls sehr abwechslungsreich mit verschiedenen sehr gut ausgewählten Locations um einen optimalen Einblick in die vergangenen Ereignisse zu erhalten.

Absolutely amazing tour
Achira gave us the best tour experience we’ve had so far (in any country). The way she told us about the history of the city and the way she has experienced it herself was astonishing. Even though we had some bad weather, she gave us a really good impression of the city centre and its transition to what it is today

A Must for Foodies and Those Looking for an Authentic Cultural Experience
We had an excellent experience with this tour. The market is lively and vibrant, a real slice of community life in Medellín for anyone who wants a genuine experience of culture apart from the excesses of places like Poblado. We tried so many interesting and delicious foods, making this tour a must for any foodie or cooking enthusiast. I fell in love with uchuva. Our small group on the tour was friendly, and our guide (Daniela? I forget, sorry!) was knowledgable, warm, and so informative.

The best thing I did in Medellin
Really loved this half-day tour. Medellin city centre is an interesting place, but what made this exceptional was our guide, Hernán. He was deeply knowledgeable but also a fantastic and engaging storyteller, and he brought the story of the city to life with clarity, humour and heart. He particularly encouraged questions, and seemed to genuinely enjoy sharing information about his city and country. I also did a Comuna 13 tour on this trip (with a different operator), which I enjoyed, but this was head and shoulders better. You could explore the key sights of Comuna 13 on your own and still get most of the experience. This tour, however, took you through places you would not be confident to tackle on your own (the difference between safe and unsafe areas can be only 1 block, so knowledge is essential) PLUS you learn so much more. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful approach to discussing Pablo Escobar - an understandably sensitive topic - and on how to approach personal safety throughout the tour, enabling you to explore with confidence.

Excellent, informative tour - recommended
We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Hernan. It was really interesting to see the downtown area and the pace was perfect. The weather was stormy but Hernan kept the show on the road which we really appreciated. The history of the city and Hernans personal experience of it during the not so good times was very interesting and informative and we liked the balanced perspective that he gave. We also appreciated the respect he had for people and the knowledge he imparted discretely. The tour ran for approximately 3.5 hours. It was our second day in Medallin and we felt it gave us a perfect, safe introduction to the city and made us feel confident to return. Hernan also gave us some tips on places to eat and dishes to sample and places to visit. Highly recommended.

Insightful and entertaining
Our guide’s vibe was very funny and engaging, an excellent storyteller from start to finish. The tour was incredibly entertaining and full of interesting information. What really made it special was hearing Dio’s personal lived experience of growing up in Medellín, woven together with the historical context of the city. It added so much depth and insight. A truly memorable tour and absolutely worth doing!

Great Tour
It was a great tour with Carolina. She gave us a lot of insight into Medellín, from the city’s history and culture to everyday life in the different neighborhoods. She also shared many helpful tips on what to do in Medellín, including places to visit, where to eat, and how to get around the city more like a local.
