Private Prague Jewish Quarter Tour: Stories from Josefov

We had an amazing tour with of the Jewish Quarter with Katy. She did an amazing job of combining both the history and culture of Prague and the Jews throughout history. As a Catholic I learned a lot about the customs, symbols, stories and rituals throughout history that are centered in Prague. Katy made me feel very prepared for some of the harder conversations, especially with children in our tour group and she did a great job of answering all of their questions and keeping them engaged. We toured 4 synagogues (I suggest doing any day but Saturday to be able to tour the interiors) and we learned about the history, folklore and religion associated with each one. She really took the time to make sure that we saw everything that was of interest to us and I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in seeing the synagogues with some historical and cultural context.

Great tour of Jewish Quarter

We had a great time on the tour with Katy. It was a great way to explore parts of the city that we otherwise wouldn’t have seen and learned more about the history of Prague. It was equally fun for people in our group who had read the “Secret of secrets” book and those who hadn’t.

Experiencing life in Prague's Jewish quarter

The guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable. She paced the tour according to our interests and our needs. The places we visited came alive with the stories that were shared. Though our time was limited in the synagogues we visited, she highlighted the most important aspects. I highly recommend this tour.

A tour with exceptional value !

We were extremely impressed with the knowledge and experience of our guide. She was passionate, engaged, thoughtful and thorough. She studied in the US and her command of English was flawless. She captured the Jewish experience from the 14th century to now. She was not rushed and allowed us the opportunity to read the panels in the exhibits and answered our questions fully. She has a good sense of humor and offered information that we felt was helpful. A real pro - she made sure that we were able to get the best out of the tour.

food tour with kuba!!! amazing energy, lovedddd the food. it was such a great day. I love food tours because it's such a great way to combine history, a walking tour, supporting local businesses, and learning more about life in a city. The food was seriously SO good. and Kuba was such a delight. It takes a special person to keep the energy, authenticity, and joy that vibrant on such a hot day. We had the best time!!

We had a great time on Nikola's food tour! She was really knowledgeable and friendly, and the food spots she brought us to were all delicious. We were stuffed by the end of it! I wasn't very familiar with Czech food before this tour, but now I'm planning on making some of the dishes we tried at home. Nikola also sent us some recipes so we can recreate them. She was very mindful and personalized the tour when we mentioned specific things we were hoping to try, and she was really helpful with recommendations on things to do and eat for the rest of our trip. Highly recommend!
