After driving to all the hotels in Vegas to pick up other passengers, we finally arrived at the airport after about two hours, which would have taken about 30 minutes if we were driving ourselves. Once we got there, we were given the usual safety briefing and another 30 minutes of waiting. When we finally got into the helicopter, we were told that takeoff would be delayed a bit because we were too heavy (even though we had been weighed beforehand!), and then two minutes later the flight was canceled altogether! Apparently because we hadn't been given permission to take off because it was getting dark. So we had to go back two hours without a flight... We were offered a flight the next day, but with only three days in Vegas, the schedule was already too full for four hours in a transfer bus... for a journey that would have taken about an hour in total. My suggestion that, as compensation, they could at least pick us up directly (by taxi, if you like) so we wouldn't have to drive to all the hotels again was ignored! Papillon cheated us out of a day in Las Vegas and, unfortunately, really spoiled the mood at the end of our honeymoon. Shortly in (bad) English: The flight was canceled. Papillon wasted our time and betrayed us for one day in Vegas. We can not recommend Papillon!!! (Original) Uns wurde zur Hochzeit ein Rundflug über den Grand Canyon geschenkt. Nach dem man sämtliche Hotels in Vegas angefahren hatte, um andere Fluggäste abzuholen war man dann nach ca. 2 Stunden am Flughafen, zu dem man eigentlich ca. 30 Minuten bräuchte, würde man denn selber fahren. Vor Ort gab es nun erstmal die übliche Sicherheitseinweisung und nochmal 30 Minuten Wartezeit. Als man dann endlich im Helikopter saß wurde einem gesagt, dass sich der Start ein wenig verzögere, da man zu schwer sei (obwohl man vorher gewogen wurde!), um den Flug dann zwei Minuten später komplett abzusagen! Angeblich weil man nun keine Starterlaubnis mehr bekommen hätte, wegen drohender Dunkelheit. Also ohne Flug wieder zwei Stunden zurück...man hat uns nun zwar einen Flug am nächsten Tag angeboten, aber bei nur drei Tagen Vegas ist der Terminplan schon zu voll für vier Stunden in einem Transfer-Bus...für eine Strecke für die man insgesamt ca. 1 Stunde bräuchte. Auf meinen Hinweis, dass man uns als Ausgleich ja wenigstens direkt (von mir aus per Taxi) abholen könne, um nicht wieder sämtliche Hotels abzufahren, wurde nicht mehr eingegangen! Papillon hat uns um einen Tag Las Vegas betrogen und uns leider zum Ende unserer Hochzeitsreise die Stimmung ordentlich verdorben. Shortly in (bad) english: The flight was cancelled.
