The pilot answered every question. I highly recommend booking a front seat for an extra $50; the view is significantly better (the back seat has four seats). My 1st flight was re-scheduled, that was then cancelled due to weather, the next time was cancelled and re-scheduled from morning to afternoon. The staff was very kind to us about all the issues we had. With all that said this is one of the best things I have ever done. Colin was an outstanding tour guide. Very informative, funny and he had a great sound track! It was very emotional as far as history, beauty, grandness.....I highly recommend this lifetime adventure. Truly AMAZING!!!!

Avoid. Having spent a total of nearly 3 years abroad through nearly 40 countries, my experience with Scenic Airlines several years ago still burns as the worst tourist experience of my life. Nutshell being we paid a LOT of money for one tour, and were then put on another tour without being told. We were also stranded at the Grand Canyon airport for near 5 hours while they sorted getting a working plane and only saw the Grand Canyon for less than 2. Worst bit is they only refunded us the difference for the tour they put us on from the tour we paid for, despite them never telling us they had changed our itinerary. Long story short, I'd would not recommend Scenic Airlines to anyone.

My partner and I paid for a 30min flight around the southern rim of the Grand Canyon. Needless to say, the views were absolutely breathtaking. The Canyon itself is a phenomenal sight, and the bird's eye view is certainly one of the best ways to see it. However, in terms of Papillon, we were slightly disappointed. The whole experience from start to finish felt rushed, like we were just another number in a long line. The audio function on the helicopter was very poor, we could hardly hear what was being said through our headsets despite having the volume turned up to maximum. The pilot was very courteous and professional and he flew the helicopter perfectly and safely, which is the main thing. But as an experience on the whole, the money we spent did not feel justified to us. We walked off the helicopter saying "wow - what a view" but kind of wishing we hadn't spent so much money on such a hurried and impersonal service. Perhaps next time we would consider using another charter company to view the magnificent spectacle that is the Grand Canyon.
