Well worth the money, took the Grand Canyon tour. We were told it was an hour and a half flight but it was closer to two hours from take off to landing. Our pilot was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Las Vegas. Money well spent.

I remember what I, believe was my first time in Grand Canyon. it was 1975, and we were coming from Buffalo NY, it was so inspiring, the only thing you could see was open space, red rock, a park ranger here and there, beautiful blue skies, ice cap mountains we were on our way to San Jose Ca. my last time there was 1989 I give this four stars Le Grand

(Translated by Google) Absolutely fantastic! We booked the Grand Canyon tour with a landing in the canyon in advance through the website. Since we weren't staying on the Strip but at the Golden Nugget, we were picked up directly at the hotel in a smaller bus, then transferred to a larger bus and driven straight to the airfield in Boulder City. There, everyone from the large bus was divided into about 8-10 smaller groups of no more than 6 people each, met our pilot, and off we went. Incredible views, interesting information from the pilot, and then the landing right in the middle of the canyon! There was a snack and champagne! :-) Incidentally, the other helicopters also land there. So it's not exactly "private" – but with the view and the size of the canyon, that doesn't matter. After 30 minutes, we headed back and returned to the Vegas Strip in a large bus. Perfect! It was really fun and everything went smoothly. (Original) Wirklich klasse!

WHAT A RIP OFF. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME. I gave it 1 star because it is the lowest you can give. It should be negative 5 stars. We paid $200/person to spend 4-1/2 hours on the Colorado River. Their bus broke down and the rafting started 2-1/2 hours later, when the sun was beating down hot and heavy! We were whisked down the river in this oppressive mid day sun and heat in 2 lousy hours or less (less than half the promised time) so that the bus can haul every body back to the point of origin at the same time regardless of when they started rafting. That is, those who were in the broken bus were short changed by more than half the money. A “meat processing” operation that doesn't give a damn about right, wrong, fairness, decency, etc. The hallmark of a GUTTER outfit. Phantom this: We got up at 5:00 AM to catch the bus and paid at least $100 per person per hour to "enjoy" this misery!!!. You have to have rocks in your head to think that there is anything right, sensible, or worthwhile about a trip to misery. I rafted the white water parts of the Colorado a few years ago with Western Rivers Expedition. By comparison, this Papillon crap is a BLOODY RIP-OFF. Even if the bus didn’t breakdown and we had the full 4-1/2 hours getting burnt in the relentless sun, is there anything that can begin to justify the suffering? NO. This is not a matter of my opinion, taste, or preferences. Suffering is suffering and a rip-off is a rip-off. Then they talk about land excursions during rafting. One has to be so ignorant and gullible to distinguish between basic facts from basic fiction. The woman guide (on the raft) was talking to us as if we were in Kindergarten, that is, at her intellectual level. The youngest customer on the raft was 60+ years old. Shouldn’t she (and her employer) have the decency to study what she is presenting? This is PATHETIC. Adding insult to injury, she said her birthday is next Saturday and that she had her heart set on a kayak she wanted to buy. I bet you, she has a birthday every Saturday during the rafting season. The bus driver stood by the door at drop-off points saying: “your generosity will be greatly appreciated”!!! What is wrong with these beggars? It is disgusting. Come on let us have some self-respect and dignity. Hey Einstein, if money is that important to you, Why did you lie to us saying that we will get the full amount of time on the water as if the bus didn’t breakdown? I am a softy, I tipped both of them, but God punished me for it because it is wrong to reward the undeserving (because it encourage incompetent and unethical behavior). The next day I fell and needed 7 stitches!!! There are better ways to experience the river; if this is so important to you. There are several spots between Page, AZ and Grand Canyon Village and points beyond where you can access the river by one of several means without being ripped off or roasted in the flaming sun or insulted by horrible people of rafting company and its clowns. Interesting experience: There is stretch of trip that goes through (inside) Glen Canyon Dam. Because it is a high security area, we needed to be checked by Homeland Security personnel. I find it comical that we were checked by a very pleasant and congenial employee of the tour company- Ooops The Homeland Security guy seemed to have better things to do, he just darted in another direction!! Why it keeps ringing in my head “Your tax dollars at work” and “If you see something, say something”. I must be watching too much TV.

We booked a "King of Canyons" tour with Grand Canyon Helicopters from Las Vegas based on the reviews here on Trip Advisor. My wife talked with them to find out what day/time would be best, and they had us pre-pay for everything. When the day of our tour arrived, they picked us up in a limousine, but while on the way to the airport, they told our driver that our trip was cancelled. Yes, you read that right, they didn't even have the courtesy to call us themselves to tell us -- they had the driver do it. They did not want to give us a refund and tried to insist that we rebook for another day, but after the way they already stiffed us (and ruined our entire day since our trip was scheduled for 12:30pm), we wanted nothing else to do with this company. If I ran my business the way they ran theirs, I would be out of business. Shame on them. Save yourself a headache and book with another company -- so that you'll actually get to go on your trip.

I generally don't write reviews, but because of the most wonderful experience I had with my helicopter tour I just had to sit down and make a few comments. First off, their helicopters are in fantastic shape and very well taken care of, which is very important concerning helicopters. I come from an very extensive aviation background and pay particular attention to detail concerning how maintained something is or isn't. These birds are top notch! Secondly, the views. WOW!!! Yeah, Mother Nature made them, but Papillon gave me a chance to see them in a way that would be impossible otherwise. We took off from near the strip, great views all the way to Lake Mead and Fortification Hill, with some awesome views of the Hoover Dam. Then, we headed towards the Grand Canyon. Approaching the Canyon, we dropped over the rim and down along the Colorado River and made our way to the landing spot where we got to step out of our flying carriage for a campaign lunch. The views, once again, WOW!!! Spent about 40 minutes right along side of the river to soak in the awe and beauty of our surroundings. After take off, we headed back to Las Vegas with a pit stop for fuel along the way. AMAZING!!! Now, one of the things that made this sight seeing adventure so much more amazing was our pilot Daniel. Not only was he very informative about the sights along the way, but he was very funny and made us feel very welcomed, like he was honored to be our pilot. He answered all of our questions about the sights and even my questions about the helicopter and general aviation inquiries. Hands down he topped off the experience and made this wonderful trip even better! Yeah, the cost is a little high, but I can honestly tell you that it was more than worth it. Save up if you have to, because you won't regret it one bit! We were treated like first class customers from the moment I made the call for reservations, to when we were dropped off by the limo they provided at our hotel. To all those that made this experience as wonderful as it was, I thank you more than you'll ever know!

Not a good experience from tour not matching advertisement to requests on the tour to tip and recommendation on what the tip should be to feeling insulted by staff to customer service which I felt was probably the worse I have ever experienced. I will not only not be using them in the future; I will be avoiding any website with their name. Just very bad experience.

Worst service ever. They offered 30 minutes flight and the flight took less than 15 minutes. Staff in the airport are not friendly with customers, and they could not solve out the issue. Please train your staff to offer the real plan you sell, do not lie, and focus on customer service! Worst service ever!!

(Translated by Google) Very poor service; the people who are supposed to handle complaints are unhelpful. The plan they offer on their website is very different from what they actually offer. They advertise a 30-minute helicopter flight, but the flight lasts less than 15 minutes. Furthermore, it's not a continuous flight; they add a river cruise instead.

I did something yesterday that I never in a million years thought I would do willingly. I flew in a helicopter over the Mojave Desert into the Grand Canyon! Wow! What an experience. Our pilot, Daniel, was friendly and knowledgeable and what a view! I thought I would need one of their "souvenir bags" because I get motion dizzy even in elevators at times however in spite of the 150 miles an hour we were traveling at, it seemed extremely slow and like we were hardly moving at all. And to get to where we were down inside the canyon, apparently it takes hours to drive there, so the 20-30 minutes in the helicopter with the spectacular view we had was an awesome experience. I highly recommend doing this even if you think you won't like it. I have a feeling you might chance your mind like I did. p.s. The Papillon facility also has a really nice gift shop worth visiting even if you aren't flying. :-) :-) :-)

A "grand" view of the grand canyon. The view is really beautiful. The tour is during around 40mn. There are explanation about the grand canyon in different language (spanish, german, french and of course english). Be carefull : they will try to jam you with the "window sitted" option (10$). I pay it, but everyone was sitted next to a window...

Had a great tour to the Grand Canyon. We got to land in the bottom of the canyon for our picnic lunch. My Pilot Tom was the best. We had so much fun and took a million pictures. My 14 year old and myself got to sit up front and I can't wait to do again!!!!

(Translated by Google) The flight over the Grand Canyon was incredible! Our female pilot made it a dream come true; the route was excellent, and the view of the canyon at its widest point left us speechless! The two Spaniards who were with us (6 seats plus the pilot) were on the left side, so the view wasn't as good for them.
