Don't do it!! These guys will tell you anything you want to hear when you book your reservation. I called and asked if they were touring helicopters with a good view from all seats. I explained that I was a Photographer, and I wanted to be able to take photos. They assured me that there would be a 180º view. When we arrived at the airport they put us in the back seat of their small chopper (they are all small). It was so cramped for space I could barely even turn sideways to get my camera to the window. The pilot seated two young girls in the front with him. We ended up seeing the Grand Canyon through two cell phones that were held up in front of our faces by the girls in the front seat. The front seats are also tall so they are in your face, blocking your vision also. Most of the trip was over the desert. We flew into the edge of the Canyon, made a long turn and we were back over the desert, returning to the airport. Booking a flight with Papillon was a total waste of time and money!! Don't fly with these clowns. Find a service that will put you in a real helicopter with a view, one that is made for tours.

You have to see something like that to believe it. The Grand Canyon (the main destination) was very beautiful, much better in person than in any picture we had seen beforehand. We would have loved to see one of the herds of wild animals that are supposed to live there, but unfortunately, we weren't lucky enough. The flight was totally relaxing, and the takeoff and landing were buttery smooth. I'm someone who occasionally struggles with motion sickness, but I had absolutely no problems here. The only criticism was the return journey. Everything suddenly had to happen very quickly. I had the feeling they would have preferred to get out while the vehicle was moving. Then we were transferred to a smaller shuttle in a parking lot, and amidst the rapid-fire rattling off of hotel names, we could just barely make out ours. Wir wurden am Hotel abgeholt und zum Flughafen gefahren, dort hatten wir nach ein wenig Wartezeit unsere Einweisung und dann ging es auch schon los. Man sieht viel mehr von der schönen Landschaft aus der Luft. Der Hooverdamm war ein Highlight für uns. Den hätten wir zeitlich nicht mehr geschafft, daher war der Überflug super. Schön zu sehen ist auch die Farbenfrohe Landschaft, beispielsweise wenn der beige/braune Colorado River in den blauen See fließt und der Übergang gestochen scharf ist ohne das sich das Wasser Stück für Stück vermischt. So etwas muss man mal gesehen haben. Der Grand Canyon (das eigentliche Ziel) war sehr schön, in echt viel besser als auf jedem Bild, dass wir vorab gesehen haben. Gern hätten wir auch auch eine der Wilden Tierherden gesehen, die es dort geben soll, doch leider hatten wir in diesem Fall kein Glück. Der Flug war total entspannt und Start/Landung Butterweich. Ich bin jemand der schon ab und zu mal mit einer Reisekrankveit zu kämpfen hat, hier jedoch keinerlei Probleme. Einziger Kritikpunkt war die Rückfahrt. Hier musste mit einem mal alles ganz schnell gehen. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass die Leute am liebsten im fahren hätten aussteigen sollen. Dann wurden wir auf einem Parkplatz in einen kleineren Zubringer umgeladen und konnten bei dem schneller Runterrasseln der Hotelnamen gerade so unseres raushören. Der ganze Tag war sehr schön, aber am Abschluss können Sie noch arbeiten.
