My wife Denise and myself did a day wine tour through Alsace with Jerome, Having been in the wine industry for 30 years, run wine conferences with tours, and done several tours before, I can really recommend Ophorus, and in particular Jerome. He was pleasant, friendly, courteous, helpful and put up with my constant questions all day, he's extremely knowledgeable and it was an absolute pleasure to experience Alsace with him. Wish I could give 6 stars.

Our full day Alsace wine tour was great! Our guide Lucas was excellent, totally fluent in English and obviously French. Lucas was a careful driver and was constantly engaged with us, giving lots of information and providing translations if required. Some of our questions even allowed him to learn new wine terminology and French words. The wineries we visited were all quite different with different hosts and even though the wines had some similarities it felt like 3 quite different experiences. It felt like a private tour even though there was 4 people out of a possible 8. We stopped in 2 different villages and had time to explore, never felt rushed. I would recommend this tour especially if Lucas is your guide.

Our driver was Valentin and he was an excellent driver and also gave us lots of great information about the areas we were driving through on our way to Mont-Saint Michel.

A great day out
We had a fantastic day out. Four of us shared the tour with another couple and it was a great experience. We visited three vineyards and got to taste many wines, each vineyard provided us with a lot of information on the wines. Our guide Jerome Georges was fabulous, he is very knowledgeable and friendly. A great day out.

Great small group tour
Great small group tour to two very different wineries. Guide was great as were the tastings at both locations. The stop in town for lunch on our own was a nice break and we had enough time to see the Royal Fortress. Highly recommended.

This tour was an amazing experience from start to finish. We drove through beautiful wine country, stopped at charming local winerys and enjoyed the company of a great group of people throughout the day. Our tour guide was outstanding, extremely knowledgeable about both the history of the area and the local wine scene. She was also a phenomenal driver and true professional, which made the entire trip feel comfortable, safe, and enjoyable. The wine stops were excellent, each offering a unique and memorable experience. Everything was well organized and ran smoothly. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience wine country with a knowledgeable guide and a fun group atmosphere.

It was convenient and easy. The guide was very nice. But the guide couldn't answer questions and didn't follow up with answers to questions. I was also surprised we didn't have a German speaker or someone German giving the tour. Lastly, for a tour that highlighted the Black Forest, there were no talking points about the history of the Black Forest or what makes it so special. It felt more like hiring a private driver than a true tour with someone passionate and knowledgeable about local history.

Thierry made this tour so wonderful with his historical and local knowledge and great sense of humour. We had plenty of time to explore the lovely villages - really enjoyed the more personal small group experience too.

Sonia was our guide to Lourdes. We had her exclusively for the day. She was easy to talk to and responded to all our questions. Her knowledge of the region and St Bernadette was brilliant. Our transport was a very comfortable mini van. I would highly recommend this tour.

We did the full-day village tour with Violette and I wish I could give her more than 5 stars! The tour was beautiful and very educational. Violette’s knowledge of the villages and castle was incredible, and her language ability was impressive (she speaks so many languages!) She was engaging, warm, funny, and gives great recommendations. This tour is a great “first taste” of the region and you get to see a lot. I hope we can return for a wine tour sometime in the future. I highly recommend these tours - there’s so much value for the price and everyone at Ophorus is communicative, prompt, and kind!

Alex did a fantastic job of bringing the history of Cassis to life. His knowledge of the people, the culture and connections with local business owners gave the tour a personal touch. Highly recommended!
