This was a highlight of our time in Kolmar. We had such a fun group and an amazing time. Our guide was knowledgeable about the area and the wines. Gave us great local recs for Kolmar, offered to get us dinner reservations at better dining spots- really lovely experience. Would highly recommend this

Unique, unforgettable day trip

Worth every penny! We were pleasantly surprised with how small our group was (the two of us, and three other people) and how comfortable the sprinter van was. Our guide, Ugo, was friendly, energetic, and was able to impart a lot of knowledge to us in an accessible way that was not at all intimidating or pretentious. We visited three different chateaux, with plenty of time for lunch on our own in the picturesque village of Saint-Emilion. The day went by so quickly - I can't imagine the half-day version would be enough time. Absolutely would recommend this full-day tour to anyone visiting Bordeaux.

Great tour

Our tour guide was excellent- sorry I cannot remember her name. Despite the weather she navigated us around the city - we have visited a number of times before and she took us up streets and showed us attractions we had not seen before. Excellent stops at a cheese shop, local producer and finishing with coffee and walnut specialties. Portions were generous- including the alcohol- unlike some more expensive food walking tours I have been on. Would recommend as a great way to learn about the city and its delicacies.

The full-day Medoc tour with Mathis was excellent! We had a great experience from start to finish and would recommend it to anyone visiting the region.

A perfect day in Saint-Émilion

We visited three wineries where we learned every step of the winemaking process — from the soils and vines to fermentation, barrels, and blending. It was incredibly detailed: the role of blue clay and iron-rich soils, how vines around 45 years old are considered “the perfect age,” why different oak barrels add unique aromas, and even how leftover egg whites are used to clarify wine while the yolks became the base for Bordeaux’s famous canelés pastries. We enjoyed a relaxing lunch in the medieval village of Saint-Émilion.

Lower your expectations

Their minivan is atrocious. It rattles along making all sorts of noises from the rear when it goes over any sort of bump in the road. It is grossly underpowered when it comes to air conditioning with only four small ceiling vents to supply the entire rear part of the van. With temperatures in the 80's in August I am sure the temperature in the van was over 110F each time we returned to it. It was not possible to park in the shade with each stop and the driver did not have a sun shade for the front window. Also, they advertised a view of the iconic river and bridge outside of Semur-en-Auxois yet this was not visited on the tour.

The Sarlat gourmet tour was a fantastic experience. Although we'd already had a few days in Sarlat, we learnt so much about the town and the Perigord region from our brilliant guide Lena. She was very informative and offered great insight. The tastings were very enjoyable and generous. Highly recommended tour!

The tour was great - at the first vineyard the tour was very knowledgable and friendly. The wine tasting was fun and music helped create a nice vibe. Personal preference, at the second one we didn’t enjoy being asked what we thought/asked to speak - we aren’t very knowledgable about wine! The tour was also very short. This was a new vineyard for the company booked at the last min since the usual one couldn’t host us so perhaps this was why.

Fun day in quaint towns

Destinations were quaint and quiet, guide was extremely knowledgeable. It was a long day but beautiful countryside and very nice experience.

Perfect Day Trip!

We had one day in Germany and this was the perfect trip. Our guide Thierry was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the area and shared a lot of history and cultural norms that we wouldn’t have known otherwise. 10/10 recommend him for a tour guide. Make sure you wear comfortable clothes and good shoes for walking/hiking a little through the Black Forest. It’s a must see. Baden Baden is a quaint town with shopping and cafes. Do not go on a Sunday the shops are closed.

Niet alles perfect….

We zouden een wijnkelder bezoeken en de route terug zou over de wij route gaan. Beide is niet gedaan. Waarschijnlijk doordat we bij het laatste wijnhuis niet verwacht/gepland waren. Alain was een hele fijne gids!!!
