We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Pascal! He was so courteous and knowledgeable. He brought the stories of the D-Day landings, as well as the history leading up to them, to life for us. I highly recommend this tour- ask for Pascal!

Wonderful

Gorgeous day out, fantastic guide who spoke excellent English and taught us about the region and its wine in a way that was interesting and. It at all pretentious. Three tastings, all very different settings which added to the experience and a nice amount of time for lunch and a wander in Beaune. Only addition for me would be small snacks with the tastings, charcuterie or cheese would really elevate the experience and fit with the price band in my view.

Exciting and astonishing - great experience.

Minibus was comfortable and spacious, driving was good. Driver was also the guide. Annie was informative, friendly, professional and good humoured. The places were made more interesting with her assistance.The place is amazing and not to be missed. The architecture is astonishing and the history is as well. Well worth the visit.

I was impressed. Everything was arranged and on time except the weather! Our guide, Valentin, was very knowledgeable and described everything in detail. He was not only expert on the D-Day landings, but had a great deal of knowledge about other aspects of the war, including the Battle of Britain, Dunkirk, the Africa campaign etc. The trip was in a 10 seater van, and no sections of the trip were very long, so it was comfortable. The Point Du Hoc section of the trip is on a battlefield, not a smooth concrete road. If you plan to see it all then I would recommend shoes that can handle rough ground such as good sneakers or walking shoes - definitely not flip-flops or high heels. My one complaint was the pick-up point. This location was used for several tour companies and the public car park was too small for the number of tour passengers and general tourists. It had a three hour max limit of parking - not so good for a 4 hour trip. Our guide used his personal parking app to add an extra 90 minutes for me when required. Overall, 5 stars.

Flore was a fantastic guide! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the two castles, sharing deep historical context for Chenonceau and the impressive architecture of Chambord. What we appreciated most was how she filled the full journey with details about the countryside. She even recommended a wonderful lunch in the charming town of Montrichard at Le Tandem which was perfectly situated between our two stops. The local cuisine there was excellent and provided a great break in our day."

Er was te weinig tijd voor de tweede proeverij, daardoor kregen we minder wijnen te proeven. Verder was hert erg karig, je kreeg geen hapjes erbij. Dat is just zo belangrijk bij wijnproeven. Voor wat je kreeg vond ik het erg duur. De gids was wel goed.

It was a very informative tour. Hit all the highlights and was a perfect amount of time. We did a half day. Our tour guide Victor was great. He is a local and knows his stuff. We had a great time. Highly recommended the tour.

Full day tour - Colmar, Riquewhir and Haut-Koningsbourg. We were lucky to have Manon as our driver and guide. She picked us up from our accommodation on time and gave us a fantastic commentary as we drove to Colmar. Her knowledge was excellent, particularly about the wines and vines grown, and such a pleasant and engaging personality. Our Mercedes van was very comfortable and she drove very well. The sights we saw were just amazing, such beautiful old buildings with so much history. Haut-Koningsbourg is a marvel with fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. Riquewihr another fantastic historical village. Do this tour, it takes all the hassle out of driving yourself or being in a big tour group. Worth every cent. Thank you Manon for making our day so memorable.

I didn't realize that the tour was only 1/2 guided. I thought we paid for the more expensive, longer tour. Everything was fine, our tour guide and driver was friendly and patient and nice. My only complaint was that the van ran out of gas and delayed our return by over an hour. If there's car problems, that's out of the tour driver's control, but to run out of gas? Hmm...she did apologize over and over. We did pay a lot of money for this transport and for the guided tour where I felt like we only got 1/2 of a guided tour and delayed our return with the van running out of gas. It was a good lesson for the tour guide/driver to learn, don't go by the gas gage..sometimes it's off. Make sure there's always 1/2 tank of gas in the car....no matter what. Don't risk it...especially for paying customers. This error was purely human error and could have been prevented. Just glad we had good weather while waiting off the freeway for the van to be towed. Would have been way cheaper to take a train.

We had a wonderful 3-night wine tour in Alsace where both of our winery visit days were managed by Ophorus. Beginning with a lovely and unexpected upgrade, we received incredible service. Our two guides (a different one each day) were Lucas and Thierry, both of whom were exceptionally warm, knowledgeable, and professional. The tour groups were small and intimate (only 2 or 3 other people) so it really felt like we could get to know the winemakers, the wine itself, and the region's character and history. Special thanks to Lucas for kindly letting us practice our French - and being flattering about our accents! - and to Thierry for taking us up to the top of the Mambourg hill at the end of the second day - which he didn't need to do! - for breathtaking views all the way to the Alps. This was a big birthday trip and Ophorus's guides really made it a special, memorable visit. We're now in love with Alsace, and planning to return. Thank you!

We very much enjoyed our Haut Medoc chateaux and vineyard tour . Laetitia our guide was lively and informative . She is extremely knowledgeable about wine and really went the extra distance to answer our questions and show us interesting things . Our personalised tour of the Chateau Dauzac vineyard was one of the best wine tours we have done . We would certainly when returning to Bordeaux try to do a wine tour of another wine region with the same company . Rosemary and Stephen UK

We had an incredible day with our guide Theo. This was a present for my father’s birthday - he has been waiting to visit these sites for over 50 years. Theo made the trip incredibly enjoyable with his vast knowledge of all of the sites as well as background information and insider knowledge particularly in the American Cemetery and in the French Resistance’s work in Normandy which isn’t talked about enough. I can’t recommend this tour company and Theo more, 11/10 once in a lifetime experience. Thank you Theo!

What an amazing tour. Great communication from Ophorus Tours. Our guide Jerome was very friendly and knowledgeable and we had a group of 3 - so it was like a personalised tour. Visited 3 contrasting wineries and had lunch and free time in Riquewihr. We did not feel rushed at all and a good amount of time in Riquewihr. I researched the Alsace tours and would highly recommend this one. Great guide and small group
