Kurzweilige Rundreise zu 3 touristisch ausgerichteten Weingütern samt kleiner Verkostung. Transport im Mini-Van in Kleingruppe. Info durch Fahrer und perfekt instruierte örtliche Guides. Die Medoc-Tour ist auf Wein ausgerichtet, keine Sehenswürdigkeiten, sondern extrem sehenswerte Weinkeller. Ein ganzer Tag war (für uns) die richtige Dauer.

Perfect half day winery- vineyard tour

Perfect half day trip to actual vineyards and two wineries with different approaches to their craft. Comfortable van with smaller group (9 people). Guide was from the area, so was knowledgeable about the history and also about the growing traditions, all done personably and with humor.

Vino in Vouvray

Great way to taste local wines by families who have been making wine for generations. The van was comfy and the guide was pleasant. The only issue is that each tasting was very small and we only tasted a few wines at each vineyard. I would have expected more for the price of the tour. It was quiet expensive.

Lea made the whole experience delightful! Our little trip to wine country was informative and fun! It was easy on the feet, too! Not at all difficult to get to the tastings. Just hope you get the wonderful companions we did. While the wines were interesting the leadership and co-tasters made the half day worth the time and money!

Wow! Our tour with Anne was exceptional. She was very knowledgeable about the prehistoric and medieval history of the area. We enjoyed her delightful demeanor as she provided so many fascinating facts. Anne also provided good recommendations for other Ophorus Tours. Her English was excellent and she even helped me practice my French!

Victor was a great guide, giving us plenty of information on the way to Mont Saint Michele, and just the right amount of quiet on the way home. He was helpful and humorous and made the day all the more enjoyable. The place itself is well worth the visit, although the earlier you go the less crowded it is… including finding a seat somewhere for lunch!

We really enjoyed this tour. Mathuis drove to two vineyards giving us loads of information on the way, he was fun and knowledgeable. The vineyard staff were great too.

We were a little disappointed only went to 1 winery for tasting. Then there was a tour of St. Emilion which could have been shorter because we felt we saw the same things a few times since it is a snall town.

We took the 8hr D-Day tour. Matt was our tour guide and of all the tours and guides I've experienced in my life, Matt exceeded all of them put together. (I am also a US History teacher who knows this content pretty well. I didn't mention that during the tour because I wanted to be a student and learn...) Of all the things we did in our short week in France, THIS TOUR is what we just can't stop talking about. Matt was spot on with his content mastery, and blended with personal stories he learned from WWII Veterans he gave tours to, this was a highly meaningful and impactful day. His sense of humor is phenomenal and he knew when to incorporate humor and when not to. If we are able to make it back to France/Normandy again one day, I would pre-book a tour with Matt to make sure I get the very best. Thanks, Matt, from Dennis and Nikki, Florida, USA!
