We had a great day out exploring Baden-Baden and its beautiful surroundings, with deep green forests, old castle, waterfall and lake. Francesco is an excellent and very friendly guide, providing lots of information and helping us do all the things we wanted to do on the day. A great side trip from Strasbourg, highly recommend.

Landscape scenery stunning on Rocamadour Tour. Interior of chapel interesting & attractive, Dioramas depicting “Stations of the Cross” a bit tired looking. Avenue through village interesting but standard Tourist strip. Scenery on Villages of the Dordogne Tour stunning also. Domme was highlight of this Tour & could easily have spent more time here. ( Fantastic viewing point & interesting array of eclectic artisan produce & crafts & of course bars & coffee shops. Spectacular vista above Beynac & interesting to wander down through the village. Scenery on boat trip interesting ( particularly view & history of La Rocue-Gageac ) but difficult to hear audio guide in English while Boat Tour Guide delivering spiel in French very loudly to of course mostly French speaking customers.

We had a great day tasting wine. Valentin was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the wi e regio . We learned a lot. My only wish was we could have seen the wine process but all in all the tour was fabulous.

A Well-Curated and Insightful Saint-Émilion Wine Discovery Tour

I recently joined a Saint-Émilion Wine Discovery tour departing from the tourism office in Bordeaux, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable and well-structured experience from start to finish. The itinerary was thoughtfully organized. After departure, we arrived about an hour later at our first stop, La Maison Cardinale, followed by a visit to Château Bellevue. Both offered distinct perspectives on winemaking in the region. We then had free time to explore the charming village of Saint-Émilion and have lunch at our own pace, which was a perfect break in the day. The final tasting at Château Ferrand was a highlight and a memorable way to conclude the tour. A major factor in the success of the experience was our guide, Rodolphe. Disclosing that he was from the region, he brought a depth of knowledge that added real substance to the tour. He provided meaningful historical and cultural context—not just about the wines, but about the Bordeaux region as a whole—and offered clear guidance on how to approach wine tasting from a French perspective. What stood out most was his professionalism and ability to read the group. He knew when to provide deeper insight and when to step back, allowing us to fully enjoy each stop. This balance made the experience feel both informative and relaxed. From a physical standpoint, the tour was very manageable. Aside from light walking in the village, it was not strenuous, making it accessible while still allowing for exploration. By the end of the day, we were naturally a bit tired, but it was the kind of satisfying fatigue that comes from a well-spent day. Overall, this was a thoughtfully curated, engaging, and highly enjoyable introduction to Saint-Émilion wines. Overall Impression: Well-organized, informative, and professionally guided Highlight: Knowledgeable local guide and excellent winery selection Recommendation: Highly recommended for those seeking a balanced and insightful Bordeaux wine experience

Geslaagde halve dag-excursie. Passages en haltes in mooie dorpjes (Obernai, Barr); twee heel uitgebreide wijnproeverijen, telkens met deskundige uitleg.
